They still have big sponsors but it seems like less and less guys have that title sponsor for the whole season. Hamlin is pretty steady, Logano, maybe a few others.

Chase is also another one w/Napa.

It’s not as lucrative as it once was. It’s also very expensive to do, particularly to be a car’s primary sponsor for like 30 races in a season. Nowadays many teams have several sponsors who they spread primary sponsorship out among throughout the season. Not many cars/teams have that one sponsor who sponsors them for 95% of the races during a season.

Going by what they claim in discussions about Nascar revenue sharing sponsors only cover 60-80% of the bills so that income has dropped off from the heady days of the 90s/early 2000s when sponsors were dropping $20 million for a season.

They get better ratings than regular season NBA games

You mean to tell me a sport w/35-40 events each year has higher ratings than one that has around 2,500 w/its regular season and playoffs?

The France family is fricking the owners on the money split.

Pretty much every single one of those sponsors you listed got out of the sport after the driver they sponsored retired. Target pulled out because they’re liberals and once miller was bought by a foreign entity, they dropped out too.

I got a kick out of the numbers I saw concerning the new media package.

Nascar (aka the France family) only takes 10% with 25% going to the teams and 65% to the tracks.

Thing is, Nascar owns the vast majority of the tracks.

Exactly. In half the races, NASCAR gets 75 percent of the TV money, and the teams split 25 percent

That black and gold MGD Rusty Wallace car of the 90s was legit.
