In football, muffed punts or incidental touching of a punt by the receiving team does not result in a turnover if "recovered" by the kicking team.
Example: a bad punt bounces off the leg of a return team blocker-- no turnover.
The principle- you can't lose possession if you had not gained possession.

Football, offensive holding, five yard penalty and loss of down.
I don’t understand why the defense has to make an extra stop cause the offense had a penalty. We live in a game where a 20 yard play is more common. Make the penalty an actual penalty, take a play away from the offense.

Stop the continuously running 40-second clock that was implemented in 2008. It's the only reason defenses can't substitute. The HUNH spread teams would suddenly have to be better than the other team. That would be the end of that.

In basketball the fouled team gets the ball back after foul shots.
Would eliminate the 45 minute real time vs 2 minute basketball time as someone stated earlier.

I'd break up all the FBS conferences into smaller regional conferences and I'd set up the playoffs like every other level of football where conference winners automatically get in.

Football- intentional grounding. There has to be a receiver in the area of where the ball in being thrown. That would eliminate the QB rolling to outsider of the tackle box and throwing the ball up into the eight row of the stands

Like those things in the world, I don't need a rule change. I just need the rules on the books to actually be enforced.
Specifically, I will refer to the illegal hands to the face and football. Receivers and running backs can literally punch a defender in the face mask with rarely any sort of repercussion.
