What do you think of when someone says “Madden”?

For the younger generations, I think the obvious answer is video games.
For others in the 80’s and 90’s it often meant spending your Sunday afternoon with a drunk guy who sounded sober, and a sober guy who sounded drunk.
He was a decent coach, too.

I honestly thought of the video game, broadcasting with Summerall, and Raiders within about a second.
In my 40’s, and he is closely associated with all 3 for me.

I probably heard that over a thousand times playing that Madden game. I can still hear it crystal clear in my mind even though it’s been well over a decade since I’ve played it.
