Stability would be #1. Kids and parents really seem to be looking for that now. That’s supposedly what has been so pivotal for Clemson as well. Very little coaching staff turnover.

They played a more physical and competitive game against 2018 Clemson than Bama did

Is this the game you’re talking about?
And still, please explain the relevance of your post.

I guess because they beat Bama by more points than they did ND.

e's actually 2-15 against teams that finished ranked in the top 10.

They've gotten much faster and tougher over last decade.

It’s still HIGHLY debatable.
It also has literally nothing to do with this thread or my post.

He's a decent coach that recruits well given the unforced limitations placed on him.
That being said, they have their fair share of losses when they play the big boys too.

You discredited a big accomplishment for a head coach of making the playoffs because they got blown out. Well, Clemson blew BOTH teams out they played. You don’t need to put a smartass asterisk on ND 2018. It was a hell of a season period
Kelly has done FANTASTIC for modern day ND. And especially compared to the other old elites listed in the OP. You don’t need to try and qualify it

What excuses?
It’s a fact ND has done far better than all the other elites in the OP
They have made a playoff and a national champ game, where the other teams listed struggle for bowl games. It’s everyone else try to make excuses for why ND really hasn’t been better....

All I said was they get throttled in playoff/championship games.

More importantly, where did I do that?

Haven’t they been absolutely THROTTLED in playoff/championship games? I like them. And think they’ve had some good teams in the last decade. But they aren’t great and it really isn’t saying anything at all that they’re better than the teams you listed.
Your post to me was completely irrelevant. Now you’re arguing shite nobody, especially me, is arguing.
You’re losing it bro.

So the entire thread is about “why are they better than the other teams listed” and you do nothing at all to answer why they are better than they other teams listed
yet you are telling me to stay on point? That about sum this little squabble up between us gentleman?

They seem to have really good oline men
Their def line is not bad either
Their te is impressive
They don’t have the skill players on offense and they don’t have dominating dbs either

ND stuck with him. Everyone thought he was done after 2016, when they finished 4-8. Things can be turned around.

The way you act about Harbaugh you would have been melting down wanting him fired the majority of his career if you were a Notre Dame fan.
2010 - 8-5 w/a home loss to Tulsa & loss to Navy
2011 - 8-5 w/a home loss to South Florida
2012 - 12-1 w/several lucky wins, embarrassing beatdown vs Bama, & all wins vacated for ineligible players
2013 - 9-4 w/loss to Pitt and all wins vacated b/c of ineligible players
2014 - 8-5 w/loss to Northwestern
2015 - 10-3 wiped out by OSU in Fiesta Bowl
2016 - 4-8 w/losses to Duke and Navy
2017 - 10-3
2018 - 12-1 embarrassed by Clemson in playoff
2019 - 11-2 blown out by Michigan
I see a shite ton of HailHailNotreDame meltdowns in that overall record.
Posted on 11/8/20 at 6:17 pm to HailHailtoMichigan!
One game completely changes the narrative. Had they lost this game, which was a very real possibility, notre dame is getting crapped on here.

Only 2 in 10 seasons though? At Notre Dame? That's unacceptable.
