Also can we speak to the absurdity of Bama being ranked above Tennessee by 4 spots

It's beyond stupid. Alabama's biggest win is over an 8-4 Ole Miss team that just lost to Mississippi State, it's ridiculous

I don’t see how they would leap over a one loss OSU. No matter the way that second half went

Lurking is a loose term. They will stay behind Michigan and Ohio State. They will stay behind Georgia. They need LSU, TCU, and USC to ALL lose AND not win their conference title games. Alabama has wins against ZERO teams in the Top 25 (unless Miss. State sneaks in tomorrow).

If SC and TCU both win out, we won't have to worry about Bama.

Our best wins are against UTx and State, but who cares?

Michigan and UGA are guaranteed to be in/

1-loss OSU will be in for sure
1-loss TCU will be in as well.

I agree that Bama gets in over 2-loss Pac 12 champs.

The path for Bama is to win against Auburn and then hope TCU drops both games, LSU drops the UGA game, and USC loses.

While possible, the hardest part will be TCU losing both games.

Yes agree

I never understood why people said Bama was out weeks ago.

Two of these 3 have to win out to keep Bama out.

LSU, USC, TCU

And once again, Bama gets to sit at home...while everyone else plays an extra Conference Championship game just waiting for them to lose.

Bama's favorite scenario...you can't look bad to the voters if you ain't playing.

Georgia, Michigan and Ohio state are ahead of Bama. No matter what.
If TCU beats Iowa St, that eliminates Bama.

They would need the following:

TCU loses out (11-2 non conf champ)
USC loses next week, same as above

And they also have an LSU h2h problem

It would matter if there was competition against teams with comparable resumes. Such is not the case this year. We don’t deserve to go. Although I’d love the shite out of the melt if we backdoored and then managed to win.

Imagine including a win over Mississippi State and a Texas team you beat 20-19 only because their starting QB got hurt as marquee wins

Are there other wins you would include? I’m not pumping us up; I am stating reality.

Bama's always got a chance to be in the Top 4, even with 2 losses.

The LSU h2h problem goes away if LSU loses to UGA or A&M…3 loss vs 2 loss

I wouldnt be so sure about Ohio State being ranked ahead of Bama. Their last game is going to be a 3 TD loss at home, while Bama’s last game is looking to be domination of their hated rival and their only 2 losses were last second walk off plays on the road against top 10 teams. Late season losses hurt worse than early season ones when it comes to human rankings, especially lopsided late season losses.

Hate to say it, but Bama absolutely has a path thats not even as unlikely as 2007 LSU. Bama definitely needs UGA to beat LSU because if LSU wins, then Bama stays as the 3rd SEC team in the rankings and there’s no shot in hell the committee puts 3 SEC teams in. But TCU losing in the Big 12 title game produces a 3 loss champion. USC losing to either Notre Dame or PAC-12 championship game would eliminate them. That leaves UGA and UM as 1-2 being only locks. If Michigan got upset in the B10 title game, it probably helps Bama’s cause because it’d be hard to justify both UM and OSU getting in as 2 non-champs from the same conference, even with 1 loss each

Teams that get in over 10-2 Bama

UGA 13-0 or 12-1
Mich 13-0 or 12-1
TCU 13-0 or 12-1
OSU 11-1
USC 12-1 or 11-2 with conf champ
LSU 11-2

3 loss only by nature of earning the opportunity to lose, while Bama was at home

They're done, this is silly
