If San Antonio wins the series, it will get more praise as it was a defining moment that had perhaps the biggest impact. It’s reminiscent of the Kawhi shot in 2019 for Toronto. BUT that shot was for the series win in a game seven. It was the LAST shot. Wemby’s was in a game one but it could mean more depending on how the series plays out.

The Wemby halfcourt pullup is truly a shot that will live in imfamy! It will go down as one of, if not the greatest, shots of this generation if the Spurs can find a way to win the whole dang thing! Thats what being a true team player looks like, not being afraid of the moment and passing it up like a certain someone named Lebron James has a tendincy to do! Well done young Frenchman!

He was closer to the 3-point line than he was to half-court.

It was a great shot because we don't expect to see a 7' guy pull up from that distance. If any of the SG or PG's around the league do this, no one puts much thought into now that the game is over.
