I don't know about your field, but in biomedical/basic sciences the PhD is worth it compared to a Masters. Can you go straight through to PhD or do you have to get a Master's first? Plus you get to make tee times with Dr. in front of your name and make your friends pissed when they show up and the Starter says "Oh you are in Dr. Guedeaux's group" haha

Damn Sherwood shut down? That sucks man, that where I learned how to play, and I worked there in college... What happened? All those investors couldn't keep it up? Patin wasn't promoting it well? Anybody got any inside info?

Really? Damn, well I haven't lived in Baton Rouge for a year and a half now, haven't worked there in probably 2 1/2...
Was Daniel still there?

Yes....he was the last time I played there...

Patin moved out 6+ months ago, if not longer, to some insurance gig.

Bought some new shoes today. Now I have crossed off every single thing on the list that I had convinced myself I had to have. I dunno what to do with my hands now.

That's not that surprising, he was rarely there when I worked there unless he was playing... I feel bad for Daniel, hope he gets a new gig, he's a good guy

Why does anyone really care that this course closed?

It was the closest affordable option to my house so I care for that reason

It was well maintained and I enjoyed it. We can't all tour the country playing PGA courses

b/c the rounds need to go somewhere and will likely make the prices increase and the other courses more crowded....

It's a good challenging course and it's where I learned how to play
