It was one of the first programs in the country and jumped out to be one of the best. But it has kind of lulled into complacency in the last 5-7 years and not too much research has come out of here.
My professor came from a big seed company and is trying hard to get our program back to the top. Get us on social media, at more national conferences, etc. Just catch up with the times. Research new technology instead of just the normal old turf studies.
Hopefully in the next few years we'll be back towards the top. It's kinda cool to be on at the ground floor while we rebuild. Kinda makes me wanna stay for a PhD...but that's a-whole-nother beast compared to a masters.

Never thought about that, I know NOCC at one time was virtually impossible to access unless you were from the right "class"

Well, I just want you to know that I'm all for you furthering your education and getting that Masters...but only for selfish reasons. See I'm banking on you getting a swanky job with an ultra exclusive, top tier course in the U.S. and hooking all of us losers up over there. I figure we can at least get favorable pin locations out of you

Just talked to my buddy who is pretty good friends with Burkstaller. Burkstaller says he wasn't given any notice at all. So pretty easy to assume nobody else was either.

Who is Burkstaller?
How is it that the course operated as usual and shut down in one day? Usually there are changes or layoffs or whatever that tip people off. This sounds strange

Next summer I'll start applying for internships and jobs. Some really cool opportunities.
