Damn. I just watched the video of my swing and I am totally breaking my left arm and swinging fast as shite. Never realized how fast I swing (and I don't mean that in a good way). I need to slow down and be more deliberate methinks.

Whats a good free software to splice video? I have a 4 minute video but only need two 15 second clips.

Last time I played with them, I was down $50 and pushed on the 18th hole...I birdied and they both pared..

Why do you get nervous when playing with someone on a mini tour? Just curious, don't really get the effect they have on everyone.

1. I'm a 7.7 and only because I have a pretty good short game. My ability to hit a shot that a beginner would be known for is still in my bag.

2. I was a guest at his course playing from the tips.

Granted I striped the drive, it's just a bit of an intimidation factor...

I always am nervous for the first tee shot when I get paired up. Lately I've hit great though.

I was pretty nervous Monday. I was playing with two turf professors and someone who works for the university. Hit well though. And had a few beers to ease the nerves.

Wait for threeputt to respond, but I've heard the Turn is in terrible condition right now. Lost the greens again or something like that.

I played the day I got married across the street from The Grand Hotel (got married under the oaks by the water). I don't know if I'd call it golf, since I got so hammered the night before. I rode my bike into a brick wall going back to my room.

I think I tee'd a few up off that putting green with some of the complimentary putters too. I think that was me. Might have been one of friends.

You did it right.

I am gonna go try and squeeze in 9 before I leave to go home. I can't stand leaving and not playing for the weekend after the way I hit yesterday. Hopefully I hit well. If not, it could turn into 18 trying to find my swing.

Hell, if I knock it down the pipe on #1 I might turn around and go to the car and head home.

Reminds me of what Lewis Black said in an interview for Golf Digest (and I think about this quote almoste every time before I tee off on the first hole haha)

quote:

you wake up and think, OK, today is the day I'm going to be more than crappy. What golfers should do if they really care about themselves or the environment is drive up to the first tee, look at the course, look at each other, and say, "Ha! That was a great day," then go back to the clubhouse and get drunk. Instead, they actually get up there and hit the ball. And, thanks to technology, the head of the club is now larger than a baby's head. A baboon in its final death throes could hit the ball with this club. But you take a whack at it, and it goes 75 yards into the woods.
