Agreed. Looked to me like a textbook PBU; split the arms to knock away the ball. Really splitting hairs to say he got there a fraction of a second early.

NFL loves this. 75 yr old refs impacting game last 90 sec. Can’t wait for next yr. Just a shame these games end like this.

That was pathetic. Denver db interfered on the pick as much as the Buffalo db did. Neither had their head turned

Obvious PI. Sucks that’s the way it went but maybe the Bills defenders should wait till the ball is there to initiate contact then

Beating a dead horse here, but under thrown balls drawing PI = NFL equivalent to James Harden/Shai Gilgeous-Alexander foul merchant bullshite. Two immediate changes the NFL needs to make are to 1) eliminate the roughing the passer calls when guys make perfect tackles and land on top of the QB and 2) no flags on underthrown balls for PI unless the WR is actively working to get back to the ball.

That’s my issue. They didn’t call anything all game on plays that had much more suspicion of PI. both ways. Then they call 2 at the end. And never reviewed the cooks catch/interception? WTF?

It was 3rd and 10. The best the Bills could have hoped for was an incomplete catch on the pick, and they would have had to punt. It was a non factor.

Not sure what the solution is. Being an NFL ref is pressure packed, especially at that level in a tight playoff game. Hell, I umpire youth baseball, and in the last inning of a tight game, every call seems to mean a bit more and the parents will let you know. In the era of slo-mo replay, these guys can’t win. Factor in that the rules are almost impossible to apply consistently from game to game and it’s worse.

I’ve watched football for over 30 years, and apparently I still don’t know what a catch is. Don’t get me started on targeting.

I’m not saying the refs were great, but I don’t think they can win in this era.

That’s right for nix and others. Defensive backs don’t turn around and the receivers slow down to catch the moonball. Defenders run into receiver, like they havent seen this play before, and interfere with the receiver. The last one, as soon as I saw the rainbow throw, I knew instantaneous that it would be caught or he would have been interfered with.

I’m not wrong.

I had a ton on Denver and I had Broncos fans angry with me for saying I didnt agree with the PI on our Tre’Davious.

I'm not sure they called a single PI all game and then they do on 2 plays to decide it.

Broncos were the most penalized defense in the nfl

They had zero live ball penalties in 4 qtrs plus OT. The refs weren’t calling anything and then they called back to back soft PIs on prayer throws

It was a bad ending to a great game

It looks that way in slow motion, but at full speed there’s about a half second difference between “textbook PI” and “textbook PBU”.

The spot foul needs to change though; that would at least mitigate the impact of bad calls.

Lol dudes really acting like that was a debatable PI call. Mims had to try to catch it one handed because White had his left hand held down. White got away with a PI on the game winning pick last week. Not this week.

Definitely a flag too. But at least the 4th quarter penalty was a penalty. I have a hard time truly giving a shite after the rams no call. Any misses/thrown flag here or there just seems to pale in comparison.

Even with the contact, Cooks didn’t get a hand on the ball. Mims very likely would have caught the ball had he had access to the other arm on his body.

It’s because the NFL is classified as entertainment like the wwe. Refs control who is going to win and makes sure Vegas wins. Facts
