Credit to Presti for creating a full team not just a starting team. And credit to Mark D for playing a ton of bench players all season long. Thats huge in playoffs where you have 2 injured players. His bench was the star tonight.

And most teams only go 8 or 9 deep in playoffs but OKC has rotated more than that. To me it looked like SA was tired in 2nd qtr and rest of game. Young players can tire too if they let emotions get best of them. SA is a very young team and this is their first playoff experience. They’ll learn and grow. And series isn’t over yet.

Crickets from those dudes beating their chest 4 nights ago.

Spurs are young and dumb, will be a force going forward next few years. But this is the Thunder show.

All that said: won’t be shocked at all if Spurs even it Sunday.

Caruso has been the x-factor this series. He's shot 60+% on threes and has harassed the Spurs. Wemby had 41 and 20; otherwise, this is 3-0. I think OKC wins in five. Spurs are nice, but young, and their youth is showing. Castle and Harper have not been very good this series. But Williams, Caruso, Hartstein have.

For sure. I was just hoping to get back home at 2-2 and we already guaranteed that so I’m happy.

Harper was very good in the series, and then he got hurt. Started to take over in G2 then as soon as he left the game it totally flipped.

This is a very watchable game. Really enjoying watching the replay.

Turning into a whistle fest in the third but I think the refs were trying to get control of the game after it got chippy.

Loving the two heavyweights duking it out, this is some good basketball. I think either one of these teams would sweep whoever comes out of the East.

3rd quarter got really weird. 1H was electric.

Maybe, but right now, SGA can be just "very good" and win; Wemby has to be other-worldly to win. I think both series are done in 5.

Sam Humphreys
@SamHumphreys34

I made it a point on our preview show before the series to bring up the fact that the Spurs had blown big leads in the playoffs and it hadn’t really bitten them:

In Game 1 against Portland, the Spurs had a 21 point lead with 8:00 left and let the Blazers linger and only won by 12.

In Game 2 against Portland, the Spurs had a 14 point lead and ended up losing by 3.

In Game 5 against Portland, the Spurs had a 28 point lead and let the Blazers cut it to 7.

In Game 3 against the Wolves, the Spurs had a 15 point lead and let the Wolves cut it to 1 in the 4thQ.

In Game 4 against the Wolves, the Spurs led by 8 and lost by 5.

Tonight in Game 3 against the Thunder, the Spurs were up 15-0 to start the game and lost by 15.

This is playoff inexperience on full display, and it finally hit them really hard tonight in a crucial game.

I’ve always really liked JWill and thought he should be getting more minutes. He was basically out of the rotation in the finals last year.

The Spurs took a page out of the Laker playbook last night. Do whatever you can to stop Shai; double him, triple him if you have to. Just take the ball out of his hands.

Then get your balls ripped off by all the guys you leave open, and never realize what’s happening or adjust to it.

It’s a tough call. I never expected to win both games in SA, was only hoping for one. But Wembanyama looks gassed.

This is the most minutes he’s ever played over a three game stretch and it’s showing. Dude had 4 rebounds last night. First game he had 24.

Having said that he’ll probably go off tomorrow, but only having one day between games is taking its toll.

It's because there's no ice tub big enough for him to recover faster.

The crazy part is while we are all engaged on this series and the physicality, overall play.

The damn Knicks are about to sweep and be well rested.
