5 top 20 or so players is going to be tough to beat. 2 top 5ish and 3 top 10ish to boot.

This team isn't better, but it's they're similarly complementary.

quote:

F: LeBron James
F: Dirk Nowitzki
C: Shaquille O'Neal
G: Kobe Bryant
G: Steve Nash

Many of the recent teams lack a traditional PG, but you could run LeBron at the point and he's similar to Magic.

solid squad dude. I'd rather have 2016-17 tho

LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers

Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio Spurs

Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans

James Harden, Houston Rockets

Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder

Westbrook is a weak link in that team IMO. Too ball dominant.

Ya Westbrook is weak link but his Athleticism is still godly.

the OP team isnt full of " elite" athleticism besides MJ.

Some other teams to consider, not saying they are better, but in that convo. Those 85/86, 90/91, 97/98 and 05/06 teams are good. Payton on Johnson would be interesting.

Modern teams wont be as stacked because there are too many hybrid players

2016 could have been solid

LeBron-1st team
KD-2nd team
Steph-1st team
Kawhi-1st team
CP3-2nd team

That looks like it would be hard to beat ignoring differences in eras.

There are a few All-NBA teams with 5 top 50 players but probably none that are quite that high.

Some recent teams have been mentioned. A couple old school teams worth mentioning

In the 60s you had

63-64
F - Elgin Baylor
F- Bob Petit
C - Wilt Chamberlain
G - Jerry West
G - Oscar Robertson

62-63 same team as above except Bill Russell was the C instead of Wilt.

The problem with the 87-88 team is magic being at the PG spot creates such a huge mismatch. Who does Chris Paul guard on the 87-88 team? They are all huge mismatches. Meanwhile Jordan guards Paul, Olajuwon guards Duncan, and the rest are mostly interchangeable.

Also, are we getting the 2013 version of Kobe with that team? Because the 88 version of the other team means they are all in their primes or about to enter them.
