Surprised no one has said Jim Haslett. Aaron Brooks may have been a terrible QB but Haslett wasn't a great coach either.
so you started watching the NFL about 2004?
Ditka was a lot worse than Haslett.
And if you think Brooks was so terrible you should try and make sense of this shite list of QB's compiled under Ditka. Try watching Billy Joe Hobert, Billy Joe Tolliver, Danny Wuerffel, Doug Nussmeier, or Heath Shuler running the offense and get back to me.

Belichick and Mike Smith both went for it on 4th down deep in their own territory, and those were far worse decisions
Both were statistically the best decision.

I would go with Lou Holtz when he coached the Jets.

If Ditka is on the list, then Barry Switzer has to be included. Teams that won a superbowl in spite of the coach.

Being from Ruston, it was hard to watch Spurrier try to kill Patrick Ramsey, one of my highschool quarterbacks. I think he did more to shorten his career than anyone else could have.

True, but when you add context, Belichick's decision remains correct while Smith's doesn't.

You're surprised that the guy who helped the Saints win their first playoff game ever hasnt been named the 'worst NFL coach ever?' Really?
Not only that, but he won NFL Coach of the Year. Hard to be the worst coach over with that on your mantle.

Dump McKay in Tampa Bay!!!
He was probably better than Spurrier b/c he did actually win the central one time.

It is the complete opposite- the coach that replaced Jim Mora is the worst Head Coach ever!
Head Coach
College- Northwestern (Big 10) 1-31-1 Wyoming
NFL Colts 1-10 NY
NFL Saints 1-7 NY
52 games only 3 wins.
What? I'm trying to make sense of this post, but I cannot.
He coached at Northwestern or wyoming?
Then coached the saints and Colts and NY? WTF are you trying to say?

Of all the pre-Mora Saints coaches, Hank Stram had to be the worst considering the money and fanfare part, too.
Only talking about his Saints stint, not KC.

J.D. Roberts was head and shoulders above the rest.
Stram only got 2 years. Archie Manning was hurt for a lot of his tenure. Bobby Scott and Bobby Douglass were his quarterbacks. He also drafted Muncie and Galbreath and some other good players, but Dick Nolan got credit for them.

Saban
He coached 2 years and won 15 games with 2 terrible Dolphin teams.
There simply isn't enough information to make any determination on Saban in the NFL.
