Do you have any idea how often coaches at any level of football cheats on their wives? It’s absurd actually.

Yeah she friend zoned those guys and was keeping them in the freezer in case she ever decided she couldn’t find something better.

I worked in a male dominated field. Very few women. But women tried to become close. It was a big no from me.
For me it was about risk aversion and perception management. Once people start talking about time spent together, the truth doesn’t matter. Not only should we avoid coworker speculation, we also should not want spouses to wonder how loyal we are when spending nights in hotels where women we have things in common with are also staying.
My wife knows I’m not gay. So she’s not threatened by men I hang out with. She knows women are more likely to be hunting for good men who can offer financial security, are fun to hang out with, and are also easy on the eyes. I take that as a compliment from my wife, and that’s something I never want to lose by thinking there’s no risk in getting close to another woman.
