Lutzie field has had a video board for 6 years or so now. He was there when we got it I believe.

Do any other LA schools have a video board?

West Monroe has one I believe. Hahnville and Destrehan have small ones.

To be fair, MHS actually was/is a college campus. Never seen a high school remotely close to matching it.

Teurlings has one similar to ST. paul's size videoboard they only use it for ads. STM is renovating their press box and they also have new chrome helmets (next few years the cougars will get a videoboard) :

What a terrible use of resources, and I coached HS football for 10 years.

You have no vision. WM's board is a moneymaker with unlimited amount of sponsors for the duration of the life of the board. It will be paid for by local businesses and then the money will be split by athletics and academics.

If that's the case then it's not a waste of resources, and I'm not speaking specifically about WM.

If it's public dollars being used, I find it hard to justify.

I believe Mceachern has a large endowment to draw from.

Public dollars where not used. If public dollars are used, every school in the county gets the same upgrade. Cobb County near Atlanta installed turf at all county schools. City schools like Marietta, in the same county, still have grass.
Gwinnett County, where this school is located, discussed the change to turf but stayed with grass at all fields.

Yes, McEachern has a very large endowment and if they don't spend what is allotted that year, they lose it forever. It's gotta be one of the nicest public high schools in the nation.

Curtis use to play at a Kenner playground, since they're in the Catholic League now, they have to play at Yenni..

That's my understanding as well. They use the money too; it's a beautiful campus. That was really my point: all the schools in the areas are just insane, so I wasn't surprised about Norcross.

Go Trojans!

On a side note, on the radio today they were saying that the Norcross videoboard will be bigger than any of the Bama ones.
