This is not a big deal. It'sa song. If you don't like people exercising their rights, leave. It shouldn't be played at sporting events. Leave it to funerals or political events. A bunch of people are more pissed at CK for what he said than the starving kids, homeless vets, government fraud, etc that are actual problems. For a board that hates PC you guys really are getting your panties in wads.

CK is one pathetic individual. He wants nothing to do with his birth mother, even though she chose to birth him and give him up to wonderful parents who helped him reach the success he has.. It is all made possible because of her.

If my birth mother gave me up for adoption for a better life and I received one.. I would be delighted to have her in my life down the road.

He's a self-centered and immature. Not sure how anyone can support anything this prick says.

Want to see my DD214 for proof? It's not hard to understand that freedom of expression is one of America's greatest freedoms. I hate, Hate, HATE the Westboro Baptist Church but will defend their right to say and do what they want with my dying breath.

This is no different. I don't like what Kaepernick is doing, but he has every right to do so. Just like you have every right to not support him. Let your money talk for you if you want, boycott the NFL if it bothers you. But the "love it or leave it" crowd are stupid.

All of this, including the DD214

I served so people like Kaep can act a fool without worrying about government repercussions.

Nothing. It's a post about social media slacktivism that got the OP's jimmies rustled.

I think this whole thing is incredibly stupid. If he were sitting because he couldn't support a country that has gay marriage, a large portion of the left that says "it's his right to express his opinion" would be ready to persecute him as a bigot and the right would say "what a brave Christian warrior standing up against this Godless country". Just over two months away from the election and this is the lead story in the news. Come on now.

I don't care if Jesus Christ hashtagged for Kaepernick.

Kaep is still a whack job.

Man I don't care if he stands or not. I think the injustice he talks about is 60 years removed and that his arse should be protesting for single mothers, a much bigger problem for blacks than police, but whatever. I don't care if he says the pledge. I'm not super patriotic either. I appreciate the rights that I have but believe the people who run the nation are shady as can be.

No one is denying his right to make his own decision, thats a stupid accusation to make.

It's more about how he his act doesn't actually help anything, and how if he did want to raise awareness, he could have done it a lot differently without making himself the center of attention.

At least that's my two cents.

Also, he plays football.... he's a football player.....he's not who anyone should listen to for social commentary.

The stupid thing is that he actually thinks standing or not does anything at all to help the problem.

I was a Marine, NOPD Narco and now a Federal Officer and what he did ia an act that is protected by this country. I was more offended by a guy who protested "oppression" and then wore a Fidel Castro t shirt to the presser after the game. Kaep might need a research assistant.

This is kinda where I'm at. While I am vehemently against blm, and furthermore think CK is just an idiot (Castro shirt), I don't necessarily have a problem with someone protesting by not standing.

In certain counties he would be jailed or killed or jailed for his actions. A great thing about this country is he faces neither threat here.
