That game was tough for us last year and they may very well kick our arse this year.
They deserve some credit for what they've built and hopefully they can build upon it in the Big 12

THE SWAIM SHOW
@GSwaim
BREAKING: Have to report the news that I'm hearing (even if it's not good news) and the #Utes have an invite from Yormark and will commit to the #Big12 tomorrow.

Fun rivalry that most people don't care about.

After today's fall camp practice, I asked Washington State coach Jake Dickert how much attention his team is paying to conference realignment, especially in the Pac-12.
Here's his response: "We'll look back at college football in 20 years and be like, what are we doing?"

I hate, hate, hate that CFB is going this way but...
at the Rose Bowl right now.
Assholes have fricked up the playoff for forever and now they aren't going to get their near automatic big arse west coast school vs Big 10 team matchups anymore.

now saying that the Big 10 are not going to take Cal or Stanford
LOL
The same schools who bitched about Okie State, Texas Tech, Baylor, etc, are about to have to merge with the Mountain West to survive.

Had to given both the shitty media deal pitched and the end of the week deadline to accept.
Half the league heard the proposal and started packing their bags.

B1G will likely have their title game there at some point, but yah pretty funny.

I think the Pac 12 is going to try to survive this.

the law of diminishing returns is kicking in. I think the The B1G is about to be in for a huge awakening. Profit margins will definitely start to decline.
The math would seem difficult.
Every additional team has to be worth the average revenue every other team was already receiving. That's probably not a problem with big name schools with a national footprint and/or no other schools from the same state.
But I don't think the following are on that list:
Stanford
Cal
Oregon State
Washington State
Utah
Baylor
Texas Tech
The ACC schools are probably fricked by the GOR but if they weren't maybe the Big 10 would bite on: NC, VA, Miami.
I hope the answer from the SEC is a no for additional expansion. The money probably isn't a guaranteed and the conference's value and brand name might take big hits if they lose more of the core rivalry games that built up the league over the last 20 years

If they lose 4 to the Big 12 and at least 2 to the Big Ten, survival is a merger with the Mountain West.
Posted on 8/3/23 at 9:28 pm to KosmoCramer
A core of Stanford, Cal, Oregon State, and Washington State needs to bring in three to four teams minimum and they have no media deal right now.

Who is the pac-12 in this case
If utah and Arizona are big 12, meaning ASU is probably to. Then Oregon and Washington go to b1G or I see even Big 12 put there. It's nothing at all left really.

Maybe if the rumors are true that Cal and Stanford aren't getting in.
Although at this paint im not sure why the Big10 doesn't give them Half shares as well.
