We need the backstory cause coach and player looked like they had enough of each other.

I was expecting worse.

Didn’t think so either. The coach will explain it away in the presser or tomorrow.

I know. It’s overreaction Friday in here. Doubt kid is done and the coach isn’t getting fired over that.

That they care that much about getting it right is a good thing. Didnt get too out of hand.

It definitely felt worse live than after I saw a replay of it a few times, but I wasn’t exactly making a big deal about, just said it was crazy, which it was

Easy everybody. That really wasn't much at all. Relax.

Neither of those things will happen, theyll both cool off. Coach will remind him of the order of things, player will backtrack, assistants will work with him, but you dont go off on the chief even if you're Paul Skenes.

Good Job Degs realizing he was about to lose it and seperating.

Kids gotta grow up, part of college ball is maturing, on and off the Diamond. It ends for all of us, for most not when we're ready either.

Eta - I played for 2 HOF coaches, one inducted at D1, one juco that 100% will be inducted when he retires...i thank both of them when Im fortunate enough to see them for both doing worse than that to a me, a dumpster fire for maturity 17-18 yr old kid that really needed it. took 2 years to take effect

I mean I don’t think Gunner did anything wrong. Was it the best route to go? Probably not but he’s a young coach trying to learn his way. You can tell he backed off once his emotions were checked. That player looked like he said “what the frick are you doing” pertaining to the pitches called. I believe he gave up a homer in the inning. Either way, he’ll be riding the pine I’m sure for a while. You don’t do that to your coach.

I remember a football coach smoking a player that was acting up during stretching with a blocking pad and folding him back over.

I just watched it and agree. Kid was pissed and blamed the pitch calling, and coach reacted to kid getting in his face.

And as for the narrative he reached for the kid’s neck, that’s BS. He grabbed his jersey in the peck area.

It’s all a big nothing burger which will inevitably be blown up by the softies who never set foot on a field or diamond.
