What did the coach do wrong??

That player is cussing him out. He grabs him by his shirt and moves him to the side to give him a talk then other coaches show up to get him away from making an actual mistake while throwing the player out.

What am I missing here?

Generational differences all over this thread.

I'm not old and I don't see the issue. If the player doesn't want to get grabbed than shows some damn respect to your coach and don't cuss him out

If your son storms into the dugout cursing out his own coach he deserves to have his shirt grabbed. And you are a bad parent for siding with your son in this hypothetical scenario.

Getting physically attacked over words is okay now ? This "son" is an adult & has every right to defend himself from " thug" coaches.

Is your son 18? Lower the collective and land the helicopter.

Exactly what words justify a physical attack? So much abuse goes on because of this attitude in which people are afraid to question some loser Coach or other authority figures in sports.

So you admit he's a big boy. And he just learned a lesson that cursing my coach isn't a good idea. Great teaching lesson.

Wish the pitcher knocked the coach out. Player ain’t a child. That’s a grown man you putting your hands on. In my world: touch a man = get fricked up
Words should result in words, violence should result in violence

The best coach I ever had grabbed my facemask in football and pulled me a few yards and cussed us when wrong when I didn’t calm down and I learned from it and exactly what I needed. Treated all of us like his kids and had a father figure type of relationship to do that so never bothered by it. When a parent gets on to their kid or whips them it doesn’t bother me if they need and not overboard and that during the game wasn’t overboard by coach.
But I guess in todays world coach lets the player do wrong and does nothing and TaTa him and then the same people drag him for not having discipline within the program and want him fired. Too many of y’all Soft!

The byproduct of the coach doing nothing or ignoring the incident.

If you really want to go there, you and your people have definitely proven that y’all believe the ‘N’ word means all bets are off

I love how the tough guys act like this is a normal occurrence for something like baseball or basketball.

If you played those 2 sports your coach didn’t grab you like that. I did. That never happened.

Yes you would get thrown out (sent away for those not familiar with the term “thrown out” )of the practice or game if you as a player acted like that.
