Because DDP isn't a slouch with grappling. I've started training BJJ recently. I think it's amazing against someone who isn't trained. But you have to be many levels above someone who is trained and also knows wrestling, striking, etc. to go down that path as your main plan. And Strickland is a good boxer, so why stray from that.

I think you can make a case for both guys. Was an extremely close fight. Six takedowns to zero, even when the take downs were pretty meaningless, is a tipping point. Dricus put in great work to the body too. Sean only 32 he can make another run.
