Tyreek Hill will prove to be more important to KC’s offense than Mahomes.

I think Mahomes struggles big time this year.

Is this a hot take?

Wouldn't we need to see KC's current offense with Tyreek and without Mahomes to know?

will be hard to replace more than 100 catches and 1,000 yards, for sure. Although Juju has caught 100 or more before.

Mahomes is still a quality QB.

It's a team sport. They'll miss each other.

Predicting Mahommes to “struggle big time” is a pretty hot take. He’s probably had the best start to a career of any qb in league history. You’re implying that level of success which has been sustained for 4 years is based primarily on having one receiver.

Kelce is far more important to that offense. They'll be fine.

It's not just the numbers, it's that he stretched the depth opponents had to defend and opened up room for Kelce. Early in the season last year and in the 2nd half of the Bengals game when the threat of Hill was taken away downfield it hurt the Chief's passing offense.

Andy Reid says he's going for a more balanced attack this year but I'm not sure anybody trusts that he'll stick with the run for any real length of time.

Idk if you know but Mecole Hardman is just as fast as tyreek Hill. Not as good obviously but he will still stretch the field opening up space for Kelce and JuJu. Mahomes will be just fine.

I think the opposite. I think Hill to Miami is going to be a bust. He's a speed guy who is not getting any younger and is significantly downgrading at QB and play caller.

I also think Kansas City is about to feel the pain of paying Mahomes so much money. I'm predicting that 2022 is Kelce's last year there.

Kelce will be turning 34 in 2023 so I don’t think that’s a huge hot take at this point

Mahommes contract won’t be much of an impetus on then building a team tho. Hes on a very team friendly deal (look past the flashy headline numbers) that can be easily manipulated into whatever cap space they need

Every QB that gets that kind of market-redefining money gets it because they’re expected to be able to win games by themselves.

People don’t understand this. Hill is the secret to Mahomes miraculous escapes. Hill bailed him out a lot.

I would be willing to bet Hills production will decrease more than Mahomes. QB position is harder to fill.

I think he will be fine. Mecole is fast as shite and Skyy Moore will be more than serviceable

It's not just about raw speed but Hill's quickness in deep outs and crossing routes.

I mean maybe. I do think Hill was pretty important but I don’t think they’ll fall off the cliff or anything.

Not like they didn’t replace him. Picked up Juju to replace him. Downgrade definitely but not huge.

They will struggle a bit for the first 5 games or so, and the offense will look a little bit different than the previous iteration. Hardman can stretch the field, but he can't do the video game stuff that Hill can. Travis is getting up there in age, but will still destroy zone coverage and beat most LBs in man to man. Juju kind does the same stuff that Travis does so that'll be interesting.
