re: Tyreek Hill will prove to be more important to KC’s offense than Mahomes.

Every QB that gets that kind of market-redefining money gets it because they’re expected to be able to win games by themselves.
Sure, but if the chiefs decide to make him win games by themselves, that will be a result of either intention choice and or poor roster management
The “expensive QB that the team can’t afford to build around” is a fallacy with how easy it is to play with cap figures and a growing cap.

Then how come for a decade I saw on here “Brady is a team player for his deal and Brees is selfish”?
Or “the time to win is with a QB on his rookie contract”

Mahomes is 4-1 without Hill.
Kelce isn’t going anywhere. He’s a lifer. Him and Mahomes are bff.
Andy Reid builds his offense off players strengths. I think the Chiefs will be more balanced. Not as terrifying offensively without Hill but still scoring points. Defense will get better. They have went young. Tons of cap space. Most players locked in. Mahomes deal is 45M per year. Veach continues to build cap and draft studs. That’s the key.
With that said. This year will be rough. Hardest schedule based on current rosters.

Not only a hot take. But a desperate one. The league hopes Hill being gone slows Mahomes because if it doesn’t, league still fricked.

If Tyreek is the most important piece, why couldn’t he ever win a playoff game until he got Mahomes at quarterback?

It's a moronic take.

I called it a fallacy didn’t I?
My entire point is that conventional wisdom regarding QB salaries, isn’t reality. Pointing to previous conventional wisdom to rebuttal that doesn’t make a whole lotta sense

I mean it doesn’t hurt to have a dirt cheap QB at the most valuable position in football. But paying that player market value as an elite QB also doesn’t preclude that team from building around that player and making Super Bowl caliber teams.

I think Mahomes struggles big time this year.

One person doesn't make or break in a season. That is why there is draft and free agency and others will step it up. Not like it is the end of Mahomes because of one other guy isn't on the team anymore.
