Real smart business move to pass up on a massive contract to play football
Most elite WRs are usually finished at the top level by the time they're 31 or 32 years old. They certainly aren't getting any massive contracts at that age. Can't blame Hill for having zero interest in bouncing around the league from team to team while being paid mediocre money like Julio Jones has over the past several years.

No idea if this sticks but if it does good for him. He will have 100 million or so left if he isn't an idiot from his contract he just signed for $120m
Wut?
Thats like 80 million after taxes plus whatever his agent got
Still plenty money obviously

Would he get a massive contract at 31 years old? I assume there’s a shelf life for top end speed like he has. What does Tyreek offer if he’s not the fastest guy on the field?
Even if he gets a mediocre deal, $6-$10m a year say from 31-33, that’s still a much easier and less risky way to earn that type of money than whatever “business” he could get into.

I was more implying that he has made $180 million if he makes it through this contract in his careers, so after taxes he had 125 and even if he wasted $20 million he has plenty

And would it be shocking if he could make WAY more than that on his next contract?

I think he only has guaranteed money for two more season anyway…WRs on the wrong side of 30 won’t command the type of money he currently making so it seems like a wise decision

Good for him if he sticks to this. With the money players are making these days, no need to destroy their bodies and brains into their mid to late 30s if your heart isn't in the game.
I assume he's held on to a good bit of his money because that's typically why players start thinking about retirement, when the potential gains aren't worth the rigors of football.
Maybe not worth it if he doesn't spend a lot.
By all accounts training camp sucks. If he's got $80-90m in the bank maybe another $20m isn't worth it to be on the road away from family, getting beat up.

He can make that much on interest if he just puts his cash in the bank

He wasn't absolving Hill, he was just pointing out something else.
Anyway, I can't blame him for defending "his people" when they're absolutely demonized on TD

I really be forgetting all about that when it comes to Tyreek. How in the world did he just manage to escape that so easily.

Good for him. Get out before the physical damage really takes a toll.

In what world would he be a “business man” if he couldn’t run real real fast? NEED MOAR EQUITY
