Great point. Ducks and cats around Haitians is like pregnant women and children around Tyreek

You do realize that Hill can be a douchebag and the cops can be (and were) bigger douchebags. Only one of the parties had a firearm with the freedom to use it on the other.

Why does he have to talk to Hill like he’s a 6yr old though?
I also don’t think it was really babying what I said there. Just a clear explanation.
This isn’t a shootout. It’s a stop where dialog is 100% of the situation. Cops should feel obligated to be more diligent.
quote:No. it’s not a crazy request. It didn’t reach a point where the window etiquette from Hill called for anything the officer did, though.
Is asking for your window to be rolled down some crazy request that needs a detailed explanation?

Except the cops weren’t the bigger douchebags. Hill was uncooperative from the beginning. And cops don’t know if he had a gun or not, but I don’t think that was at play in this situation.

Do you think he said that out of malice, or was he trying to be funny? I find it a humorous statement but would hope that he meant it as a joke.

So he asked several times. How many times is he supposed to ask while hill keeps acting an arse and ignoring him, pushing the envelope more? Is he just supposed to say, “ok guys, suspect is ignoring my requests, he obviously doesn’t want to be here, let’s just roll out”

e the window etiquette from Hill c
What in the frick even is this lol. They aren’t fine dining together. An officer asked him several times to perform an action and he refused because he was acting an arse and being a dick and trying to push the officer. I’ll ask again, how many times is he supposed to ask? He doesn’t need to explain it to him. He asked him and bill didn’t do it, multiple times lol

they need to communicate EXTREMELY clearly.
He’s expected to do that talking to someone with a window up? Lol
You can try to justify hills actions as much as you want. He was clearly being an a-hole, pushing the envelope, while disobeying EXTREMELY SIMPLE AND REASONABLE orders from an officer, knowing he already broke the law.

Like I said some people take this place way too seriously.
I don’t care much for most of your posts but it doesn’t really affect my life much and you don’t seem to let my posts affect your life (from what I can tell). Most reasonable people know that sports message boards are a place for people to shite talk and move on. As long as you aren’t doxxing people or legitimately threatening someone, this is all farts in the wind.
Of course, drama queens who are chronically online don’t understand that but that’s where we are as a society.

I feel like since I'm MAGA I have to be overly hard on the police when they behave ridiculous like this. I am mildly "back the blue" but far less than I was prior to Covid and enforcement of Covid mandates
That also is causing me to be more antagonistic to people like you in these threads, and I apologise for that. Its okay to disagree

And just because you believe in backing police officers doesn’t mean you believe in backing every single one of them. They are pulled from the general population of humanity. Humanity has a lot of dumbasses lol

Roll your window back down?
Nothing
Roll window back down.
Nothing
That’s legal?
I can't seem to find exact proof of it but some of you are speaking like its fact, and I'd appreciate if you can show me that, because I'm not sure if you know it's fact or just assume it's fact.
From a Google search, while I can't find definitive proof as I said, almost every web hit for random lawyer website says all you need to do is roll the window down enough to allow for communication back and forth.
Tyreek puts his window all the way up, but he does crack the window to allow for communication BEFORE being asked to get out of the car.
I just don't think it's as cut and dry as "Cop says roll window down, you have to roll window all the way down" like some of you are claiming. I could be wrong, but I'd like to see where if you guys are very certain about it

I think in the state of Florida rolling window down is a legal order citizens have to abide by, but in Louisiana you can keep them rolled up.

So he asked several times. How many times is he supposed to ask while hill keeps acting an arse and ignoring him, pushing the envelope more?
He asked, quickly, a few times and then the window came cracked a good 2-3 inches. I think you can see Hill pretty well through the window at this point. It sorta looks like he’s moving and doing something before cracking the window. The officer most likely sees exactly what he’s doing bc he’s not on high alert for danger.
The second the window is cracked, the officer says that he will have to drag him out if he doesn’t lower the window more.
He lied, and gave Hill no more time to fully lower the window(I’m not sure if Hill even has to lower the window again).
Hill was also calmly getting out when they attacked him. What’s your opinion of that part?

quote:While I agree with you, that's our opinion.
I believe asking for a blacked out window to be rolled completely down is so very reasonabl
I think legally, it just needs to be down far enough to allow for communication.
Again, it seems perfectly logical think the cop should want it to be rolled down if it's tinted so dark so they can see what they're dealing with, I'm just not 100% certain that they are legally allowed that. Tyreek cracked his window down large enough for communication, THEN the cop asked him to get out of the car.

quote:Because he did roll it down, enough to allow communication...which again, I THINK is all that he needs to do, but would love for someone who knows more than all of us guessing to clarify.
Disobeying lawful orders is against the law
When he first rolls his window back up that is fine. There is nothing that prevents that
However, When he does not comply with the multiple requests to roll it back down that is not within in his rights. Those are reasonable lawfull orders from the officer
I just don’t see how anyone can disagree with the above
