Oh okay so not me. Weird you said it though.

I already said he and the cop were both douchebags in this situation.

Honestly this whole situation is silly and there are much more interesting and pressing sports topics to talk about but some people want sports to be the Bold and the Beautiful for whatever reason.

This is not against the law.

Tyreek acted like a fool, not surprisingly. And his actions certainly make it more likely for an altercation to occur. But cops should be trained to handle that better.

No real or physical harm occurred to Tyreek, but that also does not mean they didn't overreact. The 1 cop was losing his mind out there lol.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but once Tyreek rolled down the window and gave the dude his license, and the cop started to walk away, there should be no issues with Tyreek rolling his window back up. That seems pretty normal, I've done it before as well. Granted, I wasn't acting like a fool from the moment I started conversing with the cop, but that goes back to the training part and how they need to handle it better, but I've 100%, heck maybe every single time, rolled my window back up once the Cop leaves with my license/registration to go back to his patrol car.

Hill escalated by not complying. Is the cop just supposed to say “oh well” and leave?
No

He’s supposed to tell Tyreek, after Tyreek cracks the window AFTER already doing everything he’s supposed to and hanging over ID and shite, “hey man, neither of us want to be here. You’re getting a speeding ticket and I really need that window down buddy. It’s simply too dangerous to have the windows up this high when they’re tinted like this. If you can’t keep the window down, I’m going to have to get ya out and sit you by my car while I run your license. Let’s just get out of here quickly so please keep that down man.”

Tyreek 100% complies. He was complying already. He was just showing a little tude, maybe a 2 out of 10.

What the cop did was completely chicken shite. “If you don’t roll it down now I’m going to have to drag you out.”

.0000002 seconds later, “nvm get out now.”

That’s bullshite.

But whatever

Hill gets out.

The cops start in on him as he’s 10000000% complying with the new command.

We’ve all seen the rest.

Terrible policing.

That's fine but I mean it's clearly a Dolphins player going to the stadium so it's not even dangerous

You guys keep going round and round when obviously everyone agrees they should be careful and cautious.

The question is, how far are they allowed to go to do so. It's certainly not however far they want to, we know they can go overboard.

Thought Hill did some really dumb shite to get arrested and was ready to say he deserved it, but those cops are on insane ego trips in that video. They’re in the wrong on this one. Hill had an attitude sure, but didn’t warrant that overreaction.
The cop with the hand tats looks like a gang member wtf

I agree

I believe asking for a blacked out window to be rolled completely down is so very reasonable as well as zero harm or difficulty to the citizen that it doesn’t come a Grand Canyons distance from crossing that threshold

The only officer action we should be talking about is from the one officer doing Johnny leg sweeps outside the vehicle. His actions are completely worthy of discipline

But all in all Hill is the most to blame in this altercation and he received zero harm and only a traffic citation so his “victim” status is ludicrous

Backing Tyreek Hill as a new figurehead against law enforcement is simply a poor PR choice by the media and those motivated to do so. I’d venture half the idiots on Twitter don’t even know his personal history

He is a piece of complete human garbage and is only going to make you look stupid

They went overboard but he’s also acting like a moron. Almost certainly driving like one as well.

The sob stories about “what if I wasn’t Tyreek Hill” are objectively hilarious. If you weren’t Tyreek Hill you’d almost certainly already be in prison

Completely agree

Hill could have and I'd go as far as saying he should have handled it better, and that would have lessened the chances of the next thing that happened, but I don't know that he was against his rights to do that.

I can go into the lower 9th ward any time I want, Friday night at 2am...I'm well within my rights to do that. That does not mean I should do that :lol;

But also, either way, the cops overreacted. It can all be true, or have lots of truth to it...both sides handled this poorly. But I'm not sure Tyreek did anything legally wrong. Maybe he did, I'm just not sure(other than the obvious speeding or whatever they pulled him over for)

Disobeying lawful orders is against the law

When he first rolls his window back up that is fine. There is nothing that prevents that

However, When he does not comply with the multiple requests to roll it back down that is not within in his rights. Those are reasonable lawfull orders from the officer

I just don’t see how anyone can disagree with the above

Just like I don’t see how anyone could disagree the fricking Kung fu leg sweeping officer wasn’t overboard

Why does he have to talk to Hill like he’s a 6yr old though? Is asking for your window to be rolled down some crazy request that needs a detailed explanation?

In an effort to treat everyone fairly. Any traffic stop should include being hand cuffed and laying facedown on the ground. Grandmas and wife’s included.

As a matter of fact any ID check should be treated the same way.

Tyreek Hill has easily a half billion dollar impact on that city. If he’s treated that way then treat every one that way.
