what do ya'll boraseph's think about golf clubs going to loft numbers rather than being labled "9 irn, 8irn, 7irn...."

Ryan Moore has done this to his clubs.

Sounds like TM burners. They are pretty much a club strong.

Good sales strategy, bc they can say they are a club longer than the competitor and the avg golfer won't even realize why.

I am no taylormade fan, but thier line is that thier technology is so good that it is just as hard to hit the 44 degree pw as a traditional 46-48 degree pw.
Their technology basically allows for stronger lofts with no accuracy loss.

I've got my PW at 50 degrees. I play a Hogan Berrillium Copper 56 degree SW. It has very little bounce so it's easy to open up to a lot more than 56 when I need it.

I go 50, 54, 60. I use the 50 the most. 110 yds and in and around the greens. My 60 I use out of the sand and if I need that rare flop shot. It has a lot of bounce so I really don't nee to open it much in the sand. My 54 I usually only use when I am on the number I need like 80 yds.

I always think about getting rid of hte 54 but I am OK with the 14 clubs I have in my bag and really don't have any gaps so no since not having it there.

my set came with a pitching, approach, and gap. So, I just have a 55 sand with those

Sounds like you have 4 wedges with no more than 8 degrees of loft difference in them total.

My CG16's also came with a 44* pw. I just bought a used 49* 588 to fill in the gap between my pw and 54* vokey.... I like the setup but might get a 58 or 60* eventually.

3 Wedges

50,56,60. Pitching wedge is 45. Do most of my pitch shots with the 60. Like to use the 50 for chips and bump and run shots.
