If Ole Miss/Sumrall also takes Craddock I would give Tulane a better shot at winning that game than if Lane was still the coach.

JMU is getting hosed. They need to make it in if they win out.

How about we just go back to a 4-team format and quit turning college football into an NFL clone?

And that would be another Exhibit into how absurd the current landscape of college football has become. We're probably not far from the point where a player opts out of a CFP game because he has a larger NIL deal waiting for him at another program, and doesn't want to risk injury for next season's paycheck.

JMU’s schedule is dogshit and they lost to the only P4 team they played (Louisville).

This is the problem with the playoffs. Tulane would have a .500 record playing in the SEC. Hell, Vandy is a better team.

Tulane might not win more than 1-2 games in the SEC.

They've been outscored 78-18 in their last two games against SEC teams. On the flip side there's about 10 SEC teams who would be undefeated with Tulane's weak schedule outside of the Ole Miss game, maybe more.

Literally more deserving than a Tulane or Virginia or USF or Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech is a good squad this year with a heisman cabdidate QB. They’d beat Tulane 9/10 times.

Yeah! More mediocre 3 loss SEC teams or shite big 12 teams!

The G5 representative is going to be a 3 TD dog vs whoever they are matched up against. What’s the point in that?

Got smoked on the road against #6 Ole Miss. Beat a middle of the pack Big 10 team (Northwestern). Beat a middle of the pack ACC team (Duke). Not to mention The American is top to down better than the Sun Belt.

Congrats on keeping within two scores of Louisville though. Maybe next year.

Louisville is better than Duke and Northwestern. I think JMU has a good case if they handle Washington St this Saturday.

Washington State also played at #4 Ole Miss this year and only lost by 3.

They did, but it appears it doesn’t matter.
Still control their own destiny.

You guys wanting to go back to a 4 team playoff sound like dudes from decades ago before the BCS who wanted to keep it in the hands of sports editors. You guys are dinosaurs and your grandkids sure don’t want Stan from the Akron Beacon deciding that Ohio State should win the Natty for the 15th year in a row. How about we do what every legit sport in the world does and play a regular season then have a varied playoff field to see who survives. It’s almost like you don’t like sports.

South Alabama - 3-7
Duke - 5-5
Tulsa - 3-7
East Carolina - 7-3
Army - 5-4
Memphis - 8-3
FAU - 4-6

JMU
Weber State - 3-8
Liberty - 4-6
Georgia Southern - 5-5
Georgia State - 1-9
Louisiana - 4-6

Sorry but Tulane simple has the better wins and clearly has the tougher schedule. It's not even close.
