CFP is sitting them perfectly for the eye-test rear its ugly head once again.

Pac 12 champ certainly jumps them.

Most likely Oklahoma would as well.

If one of Utah or Oregon loses before the conference championship and then wins the Pac 12, and Baylor wins the Big 12. Then that's chaos.

With that logic, we should just lock Clemson, Ohio State, and Bama into the playoff permanently and not even bother playing a season.

Silly. Over emotional.

Y’all can repeat this all you want, but they aren’t “pretty much out”

FPI gives them a 43% chance of making it.
538, much more reliable, puts them at 13%,to make the playoffs.

Pretty much out sounds fair.

Even if Bama wins out, they only move up to 20%.

If Alabama somehow beats Auburn by several touchdowns then I feel like it will be hard for them to put Oregon through considering they lost to Auburn and Alabama gets favoritism. I was simply stating if Alabama beats Auburn by a lot or if Georgia wins i think Pac 12 may be out. That's not what I want to happen but once again im not gonna hold anyone's hand and say they won't put a Bama team that beats Auburn by alot over an Oregon team who lost.

I’m a big fan of 538 and they do a good job with all of their metrics (PT board disagrees with me on election data though). That being said, what are you basing the better reliability on though?

538 has a bad track record with Politics. How are they in sports?

Oregon/Utah wins out and they're in. Doesn't matter what Bama does. Pure chaos is needed for Bama to be in the top 4. LSU loses to UGA, everyone else is locked out. OSU, Clemson, UGA, LSU would be the final 4, not sure of order.

Don't believe everything you read. I believe everyone whiffed on the 2016 election, including 538. But I also believe they were closest or probably "least wrong" if you will. Yea I know that isn't a ringing endorsement, but basically if you're saying they have a bad track record with politics due to 2016, then you are saying that so done virtually everyone else.

The committee openly admits they take injuries into account.

Tua-less Bama is not a top 4 team. I'd say the same about LSU without Burrow.

alabama doens't get favortisim and I beg you to give me even 1 example of it during the playoff era.

In your scenario bama would be 11-1 and didn't win their division, Oregon would be 12-1 and a P5 champion. There is zero chance whatsoever bama would go over them.
