And he is drafted 3rd overall. Considering what the 49ers gave up(a King’s ransom), it was an absolutely horrible pick. Lance wasn’t asked to do anything in college but basically be a running back on a team that out talents/classes their opponents in every way.

If the 49ers miss here they may be the new Broncos.

You should call Shanahan and give him this information

This pick is going to go down as one of the worst or best picks of all time

But the 49ers should have just taken out markers at a casino and put it on red with a move like this.

It just doesnt make sense

I don’t really get the comparison.

Outside of them both missing on a QB, like all teams do, the 49ers and Broncos aren’t very similar.

And Denver has never given away the draft capital to trade up that high to take a QB. Post draft trade, sure, but not beforehand. And Denver hit on John Elway when they traded for him.

It’s don’t think it’s hyperbole to say it’s one of the biggest draft gambles of all time given what they gave up and the fact that they have a qb at least capable of managing a team far into the playoffs on their roster.

Shanahan has been around football nearly all his life, with lots of success. I’ll give him the benefit of doubt.

It’s still crazy to me how much they gave up to get the 3rd qb in the draft. It may work out but it’s a hell of a lot to give up and not get first dibs on the qbs.

This pick has the same amount of dumbness as the Bears did trading up 1 extra pick to get Trubisky. Both are two of the worst draft picks in NFL history. San Fran is fricking retarded. Lance is a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE QB.

Everyone shite on Josh Allen because he put up garbage stats at Wyoming his last year and looked like dogshit vs Iowa. Lance obviously has the tools, you don’t get drafted that high just because.

This dude played 1 season, on the Alabama + Patriots of minor league whatever the hell it’s called college football, and is the 3rd pick.

I will 100% be rooting for him. He’s one hell of a prospect. It’s CLEARLY easy to see that he could be amazing.

But holy cow. This was a reach of epic proportions. He could turn into a HOF QB and I’d still think it was a reach when taking into account what these teams evaluate when picking.

I like that they took a big swing. Either it will be a huge success or a spectacular failure. The worst thing they could have done would be to draft Mac Jones aka Andy Dalton.

As an Alabama fan I would be shocked if Mac Jones is as good as Andy Dalton

Andy Dalton was a solid top half QB for many years

He is done. But if the patriots got a peak Andy Dalton they did more than okay.
