More to lose. Not sure why this is hard to understand.

They both run the risk of losing millions of dollars. Whether it’s $10 million or $2 million. It’s the same amount of “risk” just with different amounts of money.

Jalen Milroe is playing.

What’s else would he do? He isn’t going pro. He isn’t in the portal.

That's not true. Still unknown and according to this article, those close to him think he will go pro

I hope Nuss plays. I think he will. Obviously Jeanty, Beck, Gabriel will start.

I'd be dissappointed if Campbell and Jones sat.

Of course Nuss is playing. He’s not going to the NFL.

Campbell & Jones have already opted out

Injury to a top 5 guy could cost them millions if they drop. Injury to a day 2 or 3 guy could be 100s of thousands

It could also cost them millions too. Going from a 5th round pick to an UDFA is still a big deal to a player. Just like going from a 3rd round pick to a 6th round pick is a big deal to a player.

You think Emery Jones dropping from a 2nd round pick ($9 million) to a 5th round pick ($4.5 million) wouldn’t be a big deal?

Travis Hunter also made 5 mil in NIL money this year so he’s not going to be in a bad position even with an injury. I do respect him regardless for opting to play.

lol Shite. Mickey Loomis is gonna draft him, isn’t he? Milroe is a terrible QB. He’d be an excellent RB.

Leonard Fournette started this quitting phase

Fournette was injured with a high ankle sprain the whole damn season. He was not fully healthy. He WANTED to play in the bowl game and was advised by staff it wasn't in his best interest to play.

I prefer the new guys to get practice reps and playing time in the bowl game. Helps the team get better for 2025.

How was it embarrassing? He’s a kid, his speech was fine.

I think the biggest gripe is that he didn't prepare a speech at all and used a lot of filler to try to hide it.

No hate on the kid, he's definitely not my cup of tea, and was clearly the 2nd best player.

The two-way discussion is overblown because he wouldn't have been in that situation to begin with if he didn't have a coach who was looking out for his best interest. Deion is all about awards and exposure and less about longevity. Having a future professional athlete play two ways against other future professional athletes is playing with fire.

I am a firm believer that when a player opts out, they should be completely removed from the team, all team functions, and any resources that are only available for the team.

Good on Hunter. This is how it should be.

Maybe the 21 year old just isn’t great at public speaking after the biggest moment of his life?

Do you think Deion was forcing him to play both ways against his will?

What specific examples are you using to back this up?

I would prefer guys that are leaving to sit so we can get younger guys reps.

If this was a playoff game for LSU, then they would be playing.

Also - has the rant now changed their minds about meaningless bowl games? Do they count or not?

Wow. Good for him. Out culture sadly is not what it used to be. Can’t blame BK. It’s been like that for a while
