And just as compelling are other story lines such as Rams/Patriots almost 20 years later. Maybe Brady's last game. Brady being almost a decade older than the Ram's coach. Brady can bookend his career with Super Bowl wins over the Rams.

Guarantee the Super Bowl still has awesome ratings regardless of the matchup.

Saints have tons of personality on the team and a true fanbase.

There aren't a dozen people outside Louisiana that can name 5 Saints players. Personality? Who? Hate to break it to you, but if you asked the average non-NFL fan who Drew Brees is you'd get as many, "Isn't he the guy with the thing on his face?" responses as "Isn't he the Saints QB?" answers.

And he's the only Saint the average sports fan can pick out of a line up.

Well one team shouldn't be there and the other one people are burned out on. So. Blah.

Bet your arse I won't. Already getting ready for the return of GOT in April. Will be as good a time as any to start my rewatch.

Didn't watch the Seahawks/Patriots a few years back either.

I don’t know about historic, but I’d bet that the
ratings will be down this year.

Yeah, it's not about lowering their ratings - I know we are not making a dent in the machine's bottom line.

I just feel completely disconnected from the sport right now.

Me and a big group of friends are doing something else that night.

I dont know why people keep saying this. Ratings this year have been up across the board. Don't see why the super bowl will reverse that
