Not sure how you feel about it...but I don't like Woj on ESPN. It kills his appeal as he just becomes another piece to the cog. I really enjoyed the vertical and what they built there. Now he's just like ramona (love her), windhorst, or anyone else there.
I understand that ESPN probably gives him more airtime, and more resources but I like that he had his own platform at yahoo. He made a nice niche there.
IT will be interesting to see if he gets to have his own version of NFL insiders. Rachel Nichols and the players, and guest coaches, players, insiders, etc for an all encompassing "the JUMP". And then Woj, Bobby Marks, Windhorst, Goodman, and scouts get to have a "insiders" show, where they break down the cap, trades, draft picks and other more "detailed" portions of the league.
I really hope so

Dedmon is going to take Minimum salary deal?
Posted on 7/3/17 at 12:54 am to StrongSafety
laker cap room for this upcoming year is currently at 18,652,704
next year it currently projects out barely under 38 assuming we opt into ingram and nance and have to deal with randles cap hold until he is signed somewhere
give waiters 1 year, over 12 mill
lonzo/clarkson
waiters/lonzo/clarkson/nwaba/hart
ingram/deng/brewer
randle/nance/kuzma
lopez/zubac
maybe bryant finds a way like zubac but he wont start with the lakers
after waiters, look to find another backup point guard with whatever we have left

Just from what I've been reading. Seems to be strong intrest. GSW has the 5 mill MLE left. I think they'll try to split it with Nick Young

Completely agree with everything you posted

Nice breakdown. I'm kind of anxious to see how much Randle and Ingram have improved. Randle's recent body transformation leaves me optimistic about what he will develop into
Posted on 7/3/17 at 1:23 am to David Ricky
idk about randle. he needs to start to stretch the floor and he needs to lose his tunnel vision. he has skill but i dont know if hell ever put it together and i dont think hell be back in 2019
and as an organization we really need to hope ingram is as good as people are saying hes been looking

Yeah he looks like a bull in a china shop when he gets the ball but he did lose an entire season of development so idk. If Randle balls out this year, is there any way LA can keep two max slots open and retain him?
I think people worrying about Ingram need to chill. His measurements and rookie stats were eerily similar to the greek freak's. Not saying he's going to turn into that but it is interesting.

im a big believer in ingram. its just very important that both he and lonzo pan out

quote:i dont think so. as is we need a little help to have real room for two max guys. clarkson or deng still need to be dealt with to make 2 max guys happen. throw in randle on top of that and its going to be difficult

as is, if we deal deng and lose randles cap hold by him signing somewhere else, we will have a projected space of almost 61.5 million. we would still need to find a way to free up 4 million dollars if both PG and lebron would want max salary deals
eta: actually i am wrong. randles cap hold is 12.5 million so all we would need to do is find a spot for clarkson or deng after we waive randle. so yea, theres no hope for randle to have a future in LA if we go after two max guys

Is that the only exception the Warriors have left? Problem for them is I think some team like Sacramento or Atlanta is going to give Dedmon more than half of that MLE because they need to meet the cap floor and he is a decent enough option to do that with

yeah I was just about to say Dedmon could easily do better than a piece of the MLE. unless he just really wants a ring that bad, I don't see why he'd go to the Dubs.
him on the Hawks almost seems a bit too perfect (coming from the Spurs, the Hawks have a desperate need at center, and a lotta cap space), so I'm not getting my hopes up yet. but man does he fit.

Just go after Dedmon and don't offer a big contract to Noel

So Tom Penn just broke down a possible Melo trade to Houston on Sportscenter, 0 draft pick assests and only Gordon and Anderson to send. I'm just gonna be real, trading for Anthony would be a detriment than an advantage. I'd stay put with the team they have now.
Cleveland is pretty strapped too, It's Anderson and Gordon vs Pipe and Shump. Not much to work with from either team. Though Cleveland has the cheaper contracts

And Lowe.
I also want to see more Rusillo NBA stuff.

ESPN's Player analyst suck, but the non athlete guys are tremendous. Russillo, Lowe, Penn, Shelbourne, Amin, and now Woj/Marks are my favorites

The reason the risk is worth taking is that Melo could have new life on this team, and it gives us a better chance against the Warriors. But it also gives us a better chance of imploding.

Melo is a complete bum. That would be incredibly stupid of Houston.
The only reason to do it is to try and lure the entire banana boat crew.

Wouldn't this at least be tamed a bit with Chris on the team?

I have talked myself into it. Maybe Melo on a team where he isn't the man ala team USA can be something special.
