Are there any teams in college football that you like more than others? Maybe some teams that are getting talked but probably deserve a little more pub? Who do you think are the team(s) that will jump up and bite people? Possibly end up in a BCS bowl game that no one is discussing? Or teams that will fall flat on their faces this year?

UNC is being talked about a little, but nothing compared to Clemson or Florida St. It's not deserved but I think UNC has a clear shot at a BCS bowl. Defense is shaky, but Chizk is a good DC. This will be his second year for the kids in his system.

Washington St. Luke Falk is a machine.

I'm not understanding the Texas hype with a true freshman QB. Their defense better be for real.

TCU with Kenny Hill at QB is a dark horse. Tennessee is getting too much credit for losing closely in 2015.

They're Top-25 going into the season, but does Louisville count?

I think you had Mich as a playoff squad in another thread, but QB is a big time concern. They may still be two years away from that type of team. Yes, they should have beaten Sparty last year, but they also almost lost to IU and Minny.

I feel like a Pac is going to rise up. I know Wash and Stanford have some hype, but maybe the cannibalization gets to everyone.

I guess I could see people thinking Texas is going to turn the corner at some point and that the conference is ripe for picking, but not yet IMO -- TCU and Baylor are still good, and Okie might be a playoff team.

Michigan is being picked by some to be in the CFP.

I agree with them. Harbaugh is the best coach in the country, IMO. Give him time to catch Saban, and I think he will as far as NC. If he stays at UM that long.

Ohio St has 6 returning starters.......on THEIR ENTIRE TEAM. That's average 8 new starters in both sides of the ball. I can't buy that. Not with that schedule.

My top sleeper, who I have winning it all, is UCLA. Rosen is going to blow up in his second year imo. Jamabo should be a fine replacement for Perkins. Solid O-Line. Vanderdoes is back from injury to settle the D-Line, and the secondary is experienced, and should be pretty good. Receivers and the pass rush is definitely a question mark, and I question Jim Mora at times, but I believe in Rosen. I think come January, he will be known as the best QB in the nation, and will have a Heisman.

Another team I like this year is Oklahoma State. They do go to Baylor, TCU, and Oklahoma. If they can take 2 of those 3, the rest of the schedule is very manageable, and they can win them easily.

Finally, for sleeper, Ill say Boise State. Brett Rypien is a stud; Heisman sleeper. They have the rushing game, and the receivers. Going to challenge for best offense in college football. Defense is lacking a little, but with their offense, they can easily outscore teams. Washington State and BYU at home. Road games against Oregon State and Air Force. Thats their only somewhat challenging games. Of course there will be San Diego State in the MWC Championship, but I see 13-0 this year.

Zak Hill seemed like he knew what he was doing at EWU but think Hawaii blew last year offensively. Will be interesting to see his influence and if he is a downgrade from Eliah

Could be really good this year, but they need to stay healthy. Their starting 22 is top 10 worthy, but they have no depth.

UW is being way overhyped. I like what Petersen is building, but they're at least a year away IMO.

I think UNC and Louisville will be very good this year. The top of the ACC could potentially be stronger than the SEC.

With 4 losses? The winning streak against Kentucky, South Carolina, North Texas, Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Northwestern? 8-9 teams in the SEC would've gone undefeated against those teams too. Doesn't make them a top 10 team this year.

Sleeper: UF. Underrated because of last year's finish. Treon is gone now. The offense cant be much worse. The defense lost pieces, but still returns arguably the best corner and best LB in the SEC.

Overhyped: Washington. I like their talent, but I think they are a year away IMO.

Michigan is overhyped. Too many questions at QB, in my opinion.

Oklahoma State is a sleeper. Lots of starters back on a team that started 10-0 last year before falling apart.

Sleeper - Miami. Seems no one is talking about this team, but they have a top 10 pick at QB, solid RBs and return their entire OL. Along with getting a major upgrade in coaching. I think they could end up a top 10 team.

Overhyped - Oklahoma. I don't think Mayfield can duplicate last year. Their WRs are really weak and the OL is a question mark. I think they go 9-3 or 10-2 but I don't think this is a playoff team. They overachieved big time last year.

Arkansas is replacing 3 of 5 on the offensive line. If they are able to provide decent pass blocking, watch out for Arkansas who returns a ton on defense, great skill players, and a new but solid QB. Arkansas gets all of its toughest SEC games at home (Bama, LSU, UF, Ole Miss).

I have Arkansas going 8-4 due to offensive line and schedule, but I do expect them to be competitive in every game and all you need is the ball to bounce your way a couple times and 8-4 turns into 10-2.

It's not fair in any way to compare teams at this stage, but 2014 was similar. Lost 4 of 5 OL, lost the QB a week before the season, this RB named Ezekiel Elliott who no one had heard of, a former high school QB turned LBer, a talented rFR in Eli Apple, and unproven safeties in Vonn Bell and Tyvis Powell.

Saying that more to prove OSU has talent and coaches to get them from young and not ready to prime time, and has done it with less pieces in place than this year honestly (since QB is a strength and not a ?)

To me, the top sleeper may actually be USC (we will know a lot about them quick). The return 10/11 starters on offense, so that to me means they at least have been in big games. They have talented guys at the skill positions as we know

Overhyped I'm not buying Washington at all

For a sleeper I am going with Utah. They return almost their entire OL (which was excellent last year) and return 7 starters from a really good defense. They were 10-3 last year and are outside the top 25 (and picked to finish 3rd in the south). They must replace Devontae Booker but Joe Williams looked good as a backup last year and they return that line. Also need to break in a new QB, and that might be what holds them back.

I think they get to 10 wins again and if they improve the passing game could really challenge for the PAC title and a NY6 bowl.

Overhyped: Ole Miss. Kelly is legit and they've recruited well, but they lost so much to justify being ranked #11 when they finished 10-3 last year. They will still be solid but I think an 8-4 type year is in order
