ESPN selling to the mouse has been a total disaster for sports.

Chalamet was apparently a hell of an athlete in HS and had scholarship offers to play tennis at Stanford.

I think I would rather Dylan making the picks.....he would at least say he has no clue and is just pulling his picks out of thin air.

They don't want McConaughey doing the picks....he's done them too much ......and he's probably one of the better analysts out there .....certainly better than McAfee

That has to be the douchiest "new fun different" spelling of a name I have ever seen.

I can’t decide if he actually knows ball or he just proved why he’s such a highly regarded actor

Either way it was good!

Not sure why people that this would be bad. They routinely pick guests that have no ties to college football.

He was locked in. Sounded natural too. He has to follow college but really studied and made sure he knew his talking points. I was impressed

Think it’s more so the randomness of it and not having any real connection to the school and him not being seen as a college football type

The lack of critical thinking skills in the first couple of pages of this thread is so on brand and what makes this place so great lol. As is the confidence to just spout whatever inane thought pops into your head without an ounce of research, like saying the spelling of his name is a douchey Hollywood “new spelling” move without realizing he’s French.

As if college gameday wasn’t going to vet Chalamet before picking him to be guest picker for their biggest broadcast of the year and/or the best actor in the world under 35 couldn’t get through a 20 minute segment with macafee and corso with a little preparation and help from production.

And he was the only one to pick Ohio over Miami. Ohio is up 38-3

I think everyone has seen enough non football types pick to know that production doesn’t help too much or at least to give him some credit that he cared and actually tried to get some help.

I guess.

But it’s not like the guest picker every week is some big football genius with ties to a school.

Yeah but most non football types they pick aren’t considered to be one of the best on camera performers of their generation. How many talk shows and like GQ/Vanity fair type interviews and spots has chalamet done promoting his various movies?

Again the idea that he would go on and bomb is one that doesn’t stand up to even a little bit of critical thinking.

They were overdue a DEI picker, even one working with a memorized script.

lol how is a straight white guy a DEI picker? Because he’s an actor who played a gay person in a movie?

This board never fails to deliver.
