Lol, Auburn literally has the same number of nattys as all 3 of those programs combined.
Ole Miss self proclaimed themselves 2003 SEC West champs too. Doesn’t make it legit

It wasn’t self proclaimed. They were co-champs of the West. It’s just that most teams don’t fly that flag in the stadium.

Head to head tiebreaker says otherwise and they didn’t go to Atlanta

It's a pretty forgettable program

The tie breaker was necessary because they were co-champs. That’s how it works.

LSU hangs co-champion banners in the practice facility.

He got to Atlanta and followed that up three consecutive top-10 finishes. And he was in his late 60s.

FSU is the only realistic one. Things would have to go really bad for the other teams.

That buy out is in the 50 mil range right now. I think they need it to drop some which is probably why he is still there after this year.

I dont know the Noles situation but I heard that was just too much to swallow

The era where respectable but mid tier programs like TCU, Auburn, and SC compete for championships is over. They are gonna be passed by schools with bigger payrolls.

CFB is gonna have the same problem MLB currently faces with some programs unable to sustain success simply because their talent gets poached by bigger teams with more payroll

I’ve heard for a while that even though FSU is a big name and considered as a top coaching job, they don’t have the financial backing like other big programs.

I don’t think it is completely over. I think we will see mid tier programs compete but it will not be consistent.

Not only will players get poached but also coaches.

TCU played for a natty more recently than LSU

LSU gets a decent coach (just like last time) and they think they can look down on programs like Auburn. At least their last coach made it to a National Championship and didn't have a fake dog
