How in the world is that possible besides it being rigged?

Yesterday across the board was the most suspect officiating I have ever seen

Why was it picked up? Was the pass uncatchable? Ball tipped?

Not tipped and the pass hit him in both hands

They simply ruled it wasn’t holding or interference

Here you go

Must have been a makeup call for the one they missed early in the game. Washington receiver was mauled and not a single flag was thrown. It was much worse that this one.

No, it wasn’t close to worse than this one. That one was bang bang and close. Yes, he got there early, but in real time it’s right before the ball is there. This one he is getting his jersey ripped seconds before the ball is there, and the flag was actually thrown. How and why would someone talk him out of it?

Yes that’s early, but that’s 1/10th of a second early in real time

Feels like the bad officiating always ramps up at this point in the season. It’s as if someone is attempting to keep certain teams in playoff contention.

The officials know the desired outcome. Implicitly or explicitly. It’s all corrupt. Washington’s playoff hopes had to be protected.

Honestly wish they would no call that PI more often especially when the WR is initiating the contact

Why would the powers that be want to keep Washington in the conversation? It’s not a major media market and they play half their games while everyone else is asleep

Because each conference gets more CFP money if it has a team in the CFP, and if it gets 2 in, that’s even more money distributed to the league and its member schools.

Now the question is who gets the Pac-12’s payout for this season if Washington or Oregon gets in since the league is disbanding. I guess this year's schools would get the slices?

That’s no worse than that Saints/Rams game I’ve been listening to Saints fans caterwauling about for years. I’m glad to hear you say it was bang bang.

That nothing...Iowa got their W taken off the board by finding a dubious uncalled non-reviewable penalty on replay after using the pretense of "reviewing every TD."

Is there a replay that shows when contact is initiated?

Because that is not shown in OP

College and professional football use the refs to influence outcomes of season. No explanation otherwise. I know the NFL is allowed to determine outcomes a la WWE, but I'm curious if college can freely do that also.

Edit: downvoters are cowards

Oh good Lord. Have you considered the possibility that refs are just bad at their job? This isn't the NFL, these guys work 9-5 office jobs Monday through Friday then ref on Saturdays. Most of them are trash. There isn't some grand conspiracy at play

Bad at their job would be not throwing the flag

They did throw the flag. Then talked and picked it up.
