Has he applied to work at Taco Bell, Walmart? If his employment depends on throwing a football that window is closing/closed. So he's wrong about being denied employment.

Colin has had some bad luck. He virtue signaled when it was still in its infancy, now that the whole thing has jumped the shark he'd have to start shooting cops from a clock tower now to be noticed. He's a nobody

PJ Walker is likely better at not being a PITA, which is an important attribute for a backup anything.

"This man is still pushing for national relevance."

Last time dude played was 4 years ago.

And he sucked then.

I doubt he wants to sign a practice squad contract.

Colin Kaepernick to opt out, become free agent - ESPN

quote:

Kaepernick is planning to opt out of the final season of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

quote:

Kaepernick started 11 games for the 49ers in 2016, posting his best statistical season since 2013 despite the team's 1-10 record in his starts.

quote:

As part of the deal's reconfiguration, Kaepernick traded $14.5 million in injury guarantees during the 2017 season for the opportunity to opt out of the deal early.

He's a lifetime garbage qb who had one good season in 2013. Two years later he went 1-10 as a starter and was out of the league. He fricking sucks.

Five reasons

1) If he really wanted to be in the league he would've been signed a while back. He is good enough to be, but that is as a backup. Does Kaepernick want to be a backup? frick no.

2) Kaepernick is 3-16 over his last 19 starts. 59% comp. 85 passer rating.

3) His last two seasons he was sacked on 10% of his possessions. frickING TEN. Did the O line have something to do with that? Yea, sure. But he also doesn't know how to read a defense and go through his progressions. He looks to his first read and that's it.

4) He is a massive distraction and a circus. I couldn't care less about the kneeing shite. I do care about distractions, which is what he would be. I'm sure a lot of Owners and GMs feel the same.

5) You could make a case for a shitty team signing him as a way to get asses in the seats, but we are in a frickin pandemic so what good would that do?

Alienate fans, cause a distraction in the locker room, all for a below average QB? Not a chance.
