And of franchises that will never host a super bowl in KC

I think most Chiefs fans wouldn’t care about hosting a super bowl because they ain’t getting a damn ticket anyways….Super Bowls are primarily for the wealthy and well connected people…..probably ain’t 20% of the fans in the seats during the Super Bowl who are street level fans.

Let's see, once every 30 years you maybe get at shot a Super Bowl? Naw, if a dome stadium is built in KC it will be because the Chiefs think it's more beneficial for the Chiefs players having a controlled environment to play in. I think most fans would be ok with an open stadium with some type of retractable cover but I would bet most would want a retractable cover and not a fixed dome/cover.

Love living in KC but it's not a city that should host a SB. There's not enough entertainment options and most importantly there's not enough hotel rooms.

There’s a reason they live out there and that’s to avoid the riff-raff in the city. NO ONE, and I mean no is going to Downtown KC to see a Royals game when you have to deal with no parking, atrocious roads that are constantly in disrepair, and CRIME.

Jesus man, when’s the last time you were in downtown KC? 30 years ago?

Just gotta say I'm slightly offended by your inclusion of Steelers stadium and Gillette (and the renovated inside of Soldier, the colonnade is cool) in that list with Lambeau. They're all in the elements, so they share that, but those cookie cutter crap stadiums are nothing like Lambeau.

Christmas ‘22

I’m from KC, grew up Loose Park/Brookside area & folks still live there. So, I’m there all the time. No One from N. of the river or OP goes to hang out downtown except KU/Big 12 bball games, concerts at Sprint, or Kauffman performing arts center. The idea that it’s a vibrant area in the heart of downtown is a fallacy.

I have been there before. The gameday experience would never be the same if it's some sterile new stadium with a roof and ugly fake turf.

They’re not trying to sit in 10 degrees if they don’t have to either

Say what you want about the OG stadiums vs New I like them bothe for different reasons but Jerry World is a good place to watch a game with the TVs and Go Go dancers and standing room areas.

The Royals ARE building a new stadium somewhere downtown. That is a fact. It’s not anyone on here guessing. It’s been all over the news for months.

Downtown/Crossroads/River Market-they are going to build the new Royals stadium in one of those areas.

Chiefs will likely stay at the Truman Sports Complex and build a new stadium and entertainment district. There is some chatter that they might consider the Legends area out by Kansas Speedway/Sporting, but it seems to be political theatre and nothing more.

Downtown baseball will fantastic in KC. Chiefs get a new stadium with room for their district too. I would prefer natural grass/open stadium for the Chiefs or at least a roof that opens up.

KC might start landing Final Fours again (has hosted 10) with a stadium that has a roof that can be open or closed.
