I have to say you are without a doubt, wrong. There are plenty of Texans that think highly of LSU. That's only because as soon as a typical LSU grad gets that diploma, they are getting the hell out of LA and heading to Houston or Dallas.

Not saying they can’t get a job, just no one thinks of Louisiana public colleges as academic powerhouses.

Man what an exciting time for Louisiana athletics. Coach Napier's first year exceeded expectations. There's a lot of buzz around UL about the seasons to come. The University of Louisiana is on its way to flagship status.

As someone who doesnt give a shite, i dont care what ULL, USL, or UL call themselves, the bottom line is if i gathered 100 random college football fans from around the country and asked what they thought of Louisiana's chances this year, id bet 80% would ask "who?", 18% would assume i meant LSU, and 2 people who ask if i meant UL-L?

I think the “no, we’re Louisiana, only us, we’re seriously important!” things is kinda cringy, but I don’t care. It doesn’t matter to me at all or impact anything I do.

I thank Ralph for bringing up this atrocity again. Some politician in Louisiana needs to do something about the injustice of The University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s athletic department branding itself as Louisiana Ragin Cajuns.

That doesn’t mean Texans think highly of LSU. That means DFW & Houston have way more job opportunities than La ever will have. It means that the Texas metros are geographically advantageous compared to Atlanta or Nashville. I’m pretty sure Texans view LSU the same way they view OU OSU Texas Tech and Ole Miss. just a fun party school to go to if you can’t get into UT or A&M... sorry it’s the truth.
