This makes perfect sense and should be an argument to why ULL can be referred to as simply Louisiana.

Why is it ignorant ? Is ULL every going to compete for a NC in football ? Will ULL ever cover their athletic expenses without taxpayer funded subsidies ? Will ULL ever join a major conference ? I will give you a hint the answers to all those questions is no . You can call me names and try to justify whatever you want with the marketing BS . At the end of the day both Northeast and USL would be better served playing 1-AA. You have built in rivalries close and you could actually win a NC

Realistically they could be called Louisiana and be in FCS. North Dakota State and South Dakota are FCS. It would be cooler to see them compete for an FCS national championship than a bowl game at 7-6

So there’s prerequisites for a way the school brands itself? Maybe you should call schools like Vermont, North Dakota, and Maine to get their opinions on this. Again, take a Marketing class if it’s so confusing to you.
You don’t like it because there’s some wild falsehoods that it’s a threat to the LSU brand, which is absurd.

Nah, they’ll still complain. Only this time the argument will be “you’re a FCS, so you can’t use the name.”
No matter what. They’ll pull some other reason out of their collective rear ends to attempt to justify the paranoia about our name.

They schools you mentioned are the main schools in that state just smaller states without a big 1-A program . I understand what ULL is trying to market ,I am just saying it doesn’t exist and won’t work . Those schools are actually called that name by the way . They just don’t call their athletic team a different name than the school. I am done arguing I really don’t care what y’all think I am sure the state legislature will change your name in a couple years anyway.

It’s so dumb. Only Louisiana would have this much tension within such a small state population wise. Everyone hates on someone.

I honestly don't really care about what the school calls itself, but I find it humorous that butthurt LSU fans cry about "Louisiana".
