The SEC has lost it’s way in coaching hires. In the 2007-2011 era, we had the following national championship winning coaches walking the SEC sidelines:
Nick Saban
Urban Meyer
Steve Spurrier
Les Miles
Gene Chizik
Also we had very good coaches like Bobby Petrino and Mark Richt.
The 2021 lineup of SEC coaches is no where close to group. LSU and Florida took steps to try and get back on track. We’ll see how that plays out.

The SEC is still the best overall conference in CFB. The only one that comes close(and it's not too far off) is the Big 10.
