most dominant athlete ever. That’s the title that matters the most

He's the most dominant on clay... and by a long shot. But you can't call him the most dominant athlete ever when two of his contemporaries have matched his overall success in that sport.

Still though, we will never see anything close to what he has done at Rolland Garros. He will probably finish with 15 championships and a 98 win percentage. They should rename court central after him. I know it's already named after some French tennis bureaucrat but that court belongs to Nadal at this point.

Well he at least has an extremely strong argument. It’s the most amazing accomplishment in sports history and nothing will change my mind of that.

Very hard on your body, the toughest? I'll disagree.

No he doesn't. There's two other guys just as dominant at the same exact time.

That’s why… you just aren’t getting it through your head. They all had the best success in tennis history… BY FAR, than any other tennis player. While playing against each other… you can’t make it up. Tennis players are the toughest athletes mentally without a question, physically you can make an argument for sure.

This. The best tennis player always dominates the sport. Nadal use to get his arse kicked weekly.

Tiger Woods was way more dominant in his prime. His US Open performance in 2000 was like Secratariat at the Derby.

Nadal's accomplishments are phenomenal. Sure he dominated clay like nobody in history but he also had success on other surfaces at the highest levels.

That being said, if he was right handed or if tennis didn't favor a lefty so much, Federer would've won several of the Grand Slams Nadal ended up winning.

The gap between Wayne Gretzky and the second best hockey player ever might be the widest gap in sports, so I'll say him.

From arguably the most prestigious event in tennis?

The French Open is definitely the least prestigious grand slam by far and clay tennis in general is not prestigious.

He has never won a ATP finals which is pretty shocking.

Every all time great has won a World Tennis/ATP finals before but Nadal.

Haha what? Lol so if somebody wins 7 Masters and one US Open it's hard to care about them? Thats a ridiculous statement.

You clearly don’t watch tennis. If you knew what Nadal has accomplished you would look at yourself like an idiot. He achieved the greatest accomplishment in sports history, it’s not even remotely close.
