LOYAL!!!
2. The Lakers were FIRST in the West BEFORE Gasol that year. They gave up Marc Gasol to get Pau AFTER Bynum went down

That...proves my point. No loyalty.
they've never had loyalty to teams. that's largely a myth. die hard fans of teams are few and far between
it's a romantic notion of fandom that's pushed by the media, but it's just not true. there's a chapter in Soccernomics about that concept

If it were HIS decision, he would have not been loyal and been traded.
LOYALTY!!!! ARGGHHHHHHH!!!!

He had a no-trade clause, only one in the NBA...it WAS his decision. He also stayed as a FA where again it was his decision tard.

Just 2. Pels and Heat.

i was a little kid. i LOVED fricking jordan
as i'm from LA, i had no local team (frick the rockets). i started out my "team fandom" as a clippers fan
I loved MJ too.
I'm from MS, and we didn't even have a ball team in New Orleans yet.
Ironically enough, I cheered for the Charlotte Hornets.

I disagree with that. People from a certain city remain fans or at least don't switch their rooting allegence to another team. When the team tanks, they may not go the games or buy jersey's or whatever, but in Chicago they didn't start rooting for the Lakers all of a sudden in the early 2000's

frick Team Illuminati.

I missed the part where Kobe and Shaq planned out his free agency while Kobe was in high school.
So if a guy gets a job because of, say, fraternity connections, alumni networks, or his dad's friend (or his dad himself) is that wrong to you?
Have you never used your network to get another job?
Have you never seen several people move together from one company to another?
