quote:Yep which is why they need to have more of an NFL style schedule that is dynamic based on the prior seasons results. Ohio State, Michigan, Indiana, USC, Oregon and Penn State should all be playing each other most seasons.
Because the B1G is too watered down. It’s inevitable that their best teams will usually play shitty conference schedules.

Have you seen Aggy’s schedule? These mega conferences are the reason. It’s a joke, but you can’t really blame the actual school.
OSU scheduled what they thought was a championship contender in Texas. ATM had Notre Dame.

Broken record threads, never get old.
Living in the past despite the last couple of years providing evidence to the contrary.
Keep the tradition alive OP.
Like wokeness, nobody cares to listen to the old bias takes anymore. Do you even expanded Conferences, yet? Its a new world and new Sheriffs. Trying to play the "Conference game" like its 2008 is funny...its the NFL, all the same, AFC/NFC...nothing screams SEC historically like Oklahoma and thankfully Oregon is back home in the Midwest!
How about you wait and see if the SEC shows up in the Playoffs this year? They didn't show up last year, that's for surs.

In b4 Oregon, Indiana and Ohio State are all in the final 4 of the CFP

I agree. The mouth breathers on here start conference expansion threads weekly, piping in that they want West Virginia or NC State in the SEC. Then they complain when SOS’s are absolute dogshit. I think we are at the point where you’ll have traditional powers compete, then random teams that got extremely lucky with scheduling.

Michigan is going to get crushed by Ohio State and be eliminated from the playoffs.
And Oregon will eliminate USC this weekend...

How many threads did we have talking about how the SEC newcomers would be eaten alive by these stalwart SEC programs. Yet, in year 1 Texas makes the SEC Champ game. In year 2 Oklahoma walks into Tuscaloosa and b-slaps the Tide. And another newcomer is leading the conference this year. The SEC is just a bunch if d-riders of Bama and UGA’s success just like many BIG programs d-ride Michigan and Ohio St’s successes.
It’s funny seeing mid level SEC fans claiming in a mythical world that their mid teams would beat mid teams of the BIG. Seriously, who cares.
How about you guys worry about your school finding a solid coach and decent QB before you worry about how Arkansas would fare against Northwestern.

This post literally has nothing to do with 2025. What does Tennessees title in 98 or LSUs in 2019 have anything to do with how good teams are in 2025?

Texas ATM would never have a close game with teams at the bottom of the SEC standings.
They just did yesterday, jackass. They definitely should have lost to South Carolina yesterday.

NIL and the portal is having its intended effect. Prevent the SEC from hoarding its talent and getting the Big-10 back to a perceived equal footing in the CFB landscape.

No, what’s getting the BIG back on level footing is the playoffs which is destroying the media narrative from the hand picked system. It’s fairly easy to win a lot of Natties when 1 conference gets 1 of 2 spots or both spots. When that advantage is taken away then suddenly the SEC is shown to be fallible. That’s why Sankey is fighting so hard to get as many teams as possible to keep the BS narrative going. If another 2 years go by and other conferences win in the playoffs then no one will be able to overlook that. You SEC guys better lube up on the Kirby train because he’s your only shot this year. The rest of you have as much a shot as BYU or UVA or TT.

LSU is having an awful football year. Who cares about the Big Ten.
Posted on 11/16/25 at 8:07 pm to RunningJacket
What’s with the tiny dick syndrome? The SEC dominated the past 20 years. Playing field has been leveled it’s not anything most people care about. Stop trying to make the Big Ten something it’s not at the same time conference pride in the SEC died about 5 years ago.

You’re not wrong that the Big ten sucks but what’s your point?
1 - Michigan’s not making the playoffs so not sure why you mention them
2 - There’s 6 SEC teams in top 12 (5 after Texas drops) and only 3 from Big ten which seems fair
3 - there’s another SEC team outside of top 12 before next best big 10 team.
Overall they seems to be getting properly punished for their shitty conference.
B1G is getting punished for playing 9 conference games once the SEC goes to 9 that won't be the case anymore.

You know its made in advance right? Or do you not get that?
Next year Ohio State conference games:
At Indiana
At USC
At Iowa
At Nebraska
Home vs TTUN
Home vs Oregon
You wanna try to say thats an easy schedule next year?

Many fans simply haven’t change their mindset in this new era. The big games of the past are no longer relevant. The big games of today are called playoff games. What use to be big games are now just fun games. Bama-UGA was a fun game but not a big game, OSU-Mich was a fun game not a big game. The iron bowl and UGA-GT will be fun little games but they aren’t big games. Big games are now played in December and January. The days of teams being eliminated by September 20th are over thankfully.
