Internally, however, it’s just not happening. Tobin is viewed as family in nearly the same regard as the actual Browns and Blackburns. There is zero thought that his job is in jeopardy. He will have to lead the Bengals out of this drought, and ownership trusts him to do so.

That likely means the Bengals will run it back with Taylor, Golden and the rest of a coaching staff that failed to produce a winning team this season.

Five-year NFL veteran and starting running back on last year’s team, Zack Moss, even posted, “Been telling people, easily the worst franchise in sports.”

Insane, but not surprising.

Cheapest owner in sports.

What an absolute joke of a franchise

quote:

Ushering fans into the stadium in frigid temperatures and not attempting to clear the seats of snow and ice. Leaving long lines of fans outside in a bottleneck trying to get in as kickoff neared, without all the gates staffed to alleviate the reported 45-minute delay.

Joe Thomas on Dan Patrick this morning:

"The Bengals are too cheap to even pay people to clear their fans seats of snow before the game.

They also had worst playing surface in the NFL when I played there. Their turf was like concrete. I felt it in my knees and back just standing on it."

He did that when he signed a big extension to remain with the team. It wasn't exactly a well kept secret the Bengals were a cheap organization. Any team that needed a QB (and could afford to pay reasonably big money) would have signed Burrow to a big contract. Yet, he wanted to become, at the time, the highest paid player in the NFL by resigning with Cincinnati. Same for Chase too. Both prioritized the extra money over going to another franchise that may be more willing to do more to try to win big. That's fine. But don't complain on the back end. You knew what you were signing up for.

I mean Taylor shouldn't have a buyout at this point

There were multiple knee injuries from this past game. What a disgrace, the NFL needs to force natural grass. There’s enough ACL tears as it is.

It’s what our ownership does, they hire people and keep them. Duke Tobin has been horrendous as a “GM” but the Browns are close with him just like they were with Marvin Lewis(and Zac Taylor) and aren’t going to fire anybody.

Nobody in the FO has a “football mind” they all just lucked into being born into it. Heck, look at our drafting. The fans do far better in Mock drafts than the team does in actually drafting(we needed more pass rush this off-season so they went and drafted a guy who had 4.5 sacks for his entire collegiate career in the first and has played in maybe 4-5 games this year).

FIFY.

No idea why Chase and Burrow would resign with the Bengals.

They upped their scouting and analytics up to 8 people while most teams have 20 +. Also voted worst treatment of players families every year. They're not spending a dime on anything.

Being a Steeler fan, I absolutely adore how the Bengals choose to operate their franchise.
