The Bears will “definitely” get a 2nd for Justin Fields. Could even get a 1st.

Call your shot...where does he end up?

What is Justin Fields’ trade market?

Now that we have established that the possibility of the Chicago Bears trading Justin Fields is real, we should move on to discussing his trade market. As mentioned above, ESPN’s Adam Schefter believes Chicago’s football team will “definitely” get a second-rounder if it decides to draft a quarterback and move on from Fields. Instantly, my mind races to figure out which teams could be in the market to make such a move.

These are the teams I’ve come up with as the most sensible trade partners for the Bears:

New England Patriots, Pick No. 34: If quarterbacks go off the board with the first and second picks, the Patriots will be left holding the third pick and faced with quite a dilemma. Pats fans will be debating the idea of taking the third-best quarterback prospect of this class or selecting Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who could make a strong case for being the best prospect in this class. Should New England decide on going with Harrison, they’d still be in the market for a quarterback — which is where Fields fits in.

quote:

Atlanta Falcons, Pick No. 43:

The Falcons were a team that made sense in the eyes of some as a potential Bears trade partner. But that was before the team jettisoned coach Arthur Smith and brought in Raheem Morris. Still, the quarterback position remains up-in-the-air in Atlanta. And a Fields homecoming story would be fun to follow.

quote:

Las Vegas Raiders, Pick No. 44:

Not only did the Raiders kick the tires on Fields’ former OC, they hired Luke Getsy after a deal fell apart for Kliff Kingsbury. For what it’s worth, Getsy ended the year listing specific areas where Fields has improved. And in January, I came up with some reasons why Vegas made sense as a fitting landing spot for Fields:

quote:

Pittsburgh Steelers, Pick No. 51:

The Steelers are in quarterback limbo. This is a team that willingly started Mason Rudolph in a playoff game while 2022 first-round pick Kenny Pickett languished on the bench. But with Pittsburgh picking in the middle of the first round, they’ll likely be unable to take a big swing at the quarterback position. Hence, this is where Fields could come into play as an option for the Steelers — which also happens to be something we discussed in January:

Did the agent write this story, or pay the reporter to write it.

I've seen Williams, Maye, and Daniels all interchangeable as the top 3.

I feel like the Falcons are gonna make a move. Will they give up their next 2 firsts for Jayden, Caleb, or Drake? Or will they play it safe and get Fields for a 2nd?

Cons of Justin Fields: he has not shown he can win in the NFL and he does not throw the ball with consistent accuracy (most important thing for a QB).

Pros of Justin Fields: Can be had for cheap. Next year will cost the new team only 6 million and 2025 will be an option year for 23 million.

He's basically the exact opposite of cheap

You give up a high pick, then essentially have 1 year to evaluate him on a rookie deal

Yes, I want to give up a first round pick for a QB the BEARS of all teams are giving up on Any GM that gives up a first for them should be fired immediately.

Why would the raiders want him? They hired that piece of trash Getsy because he convinced them Fields was the problem

You don't even have that, do you? Don't you have to declare whether or not your picking up the 5th before the beginning of the 4th?

Assuming Fields will get traded and then Chicago, Washington, and Patriots all need QB's I honestly don't see any trades early on.

If Bears hold onto Fields def think ATL, Vikings, Raiders, and even Broncos could be bidding for that #1.

Either way, I see it being all QB in first 3 picks.

I think Bears are crazy to take Caleb and trade Fields. Caleb is not that much better than Fields. Not that Fields is great. Caleb just is way overhyped

Atlanta guaranteed NFC South Champs 3 of the next 4 years if they sign him.

I am a huge Justin Fields believer, especially with those kinds of weapons.
