I think they will go after them, I just dont think they are going to want to play in Atlanta. If they are ready to out-bid everyone, maybe, but i just dont see it.

more likely to open it up for Patrick Corbin or as you said Keuchel. Though he really isnt an ace, but he'd be good for that staff. He's a boras client so he wont be cheap

Jon Heyman, Boras's mouthpiece, has been pushing the Bryce to Atlanta angle for a while.

I'm skeptical too, but a few insiders seem to believe there is real interest.

CarGo’s OPS away from Coors is .663 this season which is consistent with his career in Denver. Pass on that.

McCutchen played respectable defense and his bat still has value. Not sure that he or another veteran outfielder is where Braves want to use their $. I think they’d go big there or skip it and sink that money somewhere else

I don't REALLY see it either, but I don't know why Philly is considered all that more likely if ownership bridges the payroll gap somewhat.

Same for Washington in a bubble, but I know that's not really what we're dealing w/

.780 against RHP on the road in his career. He's not a total bum. He can't hit lefties but ATL would get him maybe on a 1yr deal $8mil and hope to catch fire in a bottle

Honestly don't believe the braves will sign a FA pitcher because they won't want to tie up the money long term. I think they will stand Pat and hope someone develops.

I think one of the power arms will move to the bullpen similar to what happened to Viz. add couple of reasonably priced veterans and we got a decent pen.

Really need a power bat at 3rd and RF. AA has a past with Donaldson and maybe he will be willing to do a short team high annual value contract.

In RF we obviously won't be in the Harper sweepstakes, but will probably compete for Pollock. Doubt we will go over asking price. Might start the season with Duvall and then make a trade mid season with excess pitching.

The Braves aren’t doing anything about third base next year. Camargo hit 19 HRs and had a 3.3 war in just 134 games. The only 2 positions that need an upgrade is catcher and a corner OF. After we upgrade those two positions we can start talking about adding an ace or a bullpen piece.

I will riot if Duvall is our starting RF at ANY point next year.

That would be a grave mistake if you hope to be back in the playoffs next year

another mistake. Never healthy.

Duvall sucks.

We should probably try to trade for Heyward. And extend him. Not sure what it would take. A bad of doritos and $100 million back in cash?

This line of thinking is what led to a bench of Ryan Flaherty, Lane Adams, Rene Rivera and Lucas Duda in the playoffs.

Young team in a big market with lots of potential. Sure it's not LA or New York but Atlanta is still a large market

Huge difference between the bench sucking arse and needing to move Camargo off third base. We need solid hitters off the bench late in games.

Good tool to add to the OP. I will update throughout the next few months.

The only reason I brought up 3B is because there is an impact bat available in our time frame and price range.

I am sure they sign a backup catcher to Flowers, but there is very little out there in the way of upgrades.

As far as the ace goes? Who??? There is nothing available. Less than zero chance they acquire deGromm
