Hearing from multiple sources Ender Inciarte, Aaron Blair and Dansby Swanson are involved in the Shelby Miller deal.

Ok. That is a great deal for us. Love that shite.

If we actually got Swanson I will be shocked and ecstatic about this.

Now the deal makes sense.
I like it now.

All hail King Coppy

Holy shite if that package is true. The Braves made out like bandits. Not sure if I believe that. Shelby Miller is a very good young pitcher but thats a huge trade package.

Just an absolute fleecing.
I mean holy shite.

Christmas has come early, fellas.
Major props to Coppy and Hart. They held strong and got even more than what I figured they could.

The price of pitching... especially controllable pitching has gone up significantly with the salaries rising at an exponential rate.
It's a great haul.

That's why I'm hesitant to even believe it. Like I said, Miller is very good but I'd think a package like that could net one of the top players in baseball for the Dbacks.
Hell of a gift for the Braves if true. You end up with the #1 draft pick from 2015, #3 pick in 2016, next year may not be kind for ya'll so another high pick in 2017.

Holy crap. My jaw literally dropped when I saw this. Didn't want to trade Miller but damn that's a nice haul. I know about Swanson and Inciarte but not much about Blair. Anyone care to educate?

Incredible what we flipped 1yr of jhey and a reliever for

Holy shite that's a haul.
Ender was a 5 WAR player last year

Mark Bowman has confirmed the package. What a hell of a deal.

Ender is a plus plus defender and likely slotted for CF. Played 25ish games there last year for Arizona. 5 WAR player.
Blair is the 40th ranked prospect this year by Baseball America. Projects as a #3 starter. Fits the mold of what they like out of a pitcher. 6'5, 230lbs

Blair started the year for AA Mobile after coming off a very strong 2014 campaign that put him on the Top 100 prospect map. Blair made some changes to his repertoire, adding a 2-seam fastball to induce more ground balls and keep the ball in the ballpark. The pitch itself has had mixed results, but his overall numbers have been fantastic. Blair started the year pitching to a 2.70 ERA and 3.95 FIP in 83 1/3 innings for the Baybears. That earned him a promotion to AAA Reno. In the hitter friendly PCL and a pitcher's nightmare ballpark, Blair has further stepped up his game. In 60 innings,
Blair has upped his strikeout rate from 19.3% to 20.1% although his walk rate increased from 6.9% to 8.3%. In Reno, Blair has a 3.30 ERA and a 3.95 FIP. Aaron Blair's projection is as a #3 starter in a big league rotation and should have a lengthy career because of the feel for all three of his pitches. He's earned a cup of coffee with the Dbacks, but we won't know if he'll pitch up there for sure. Keep an eye on September 1st when the rosters expand, although the team is going to have to make a 40-man roster move.

Dbacks #3 prospect
#40 prospect pre-2015 by Baseball America
quote:
Blair's above-average fastball will touch at least 95 mph, sitting in the low 90s, with good running movement. He has very good feel for a mid-80s changeup and his curveball has improved and could be better than Major League average when all is said and done. Scouts like how quickly Blair works and he goes right after hitters. As effective as Blair was at missing bats in 2014, he also didn't hurt himself with walks.
Blair shouldn't need too much more seasoning in the Minor Leagues and could be called upon to help out the big league rotation in the near future. He could develop into a very solid and durable middle-of-the-rotation type starter.

Can someone pull up the D-backs message board that melted so hard earlier this year? This should be good

#Dbacks also receiving LHP Gabe Speier in the Miller deal.
idk who that is but ya'll might.

I like it. Do we save some money on the deal too? Maybe go out and get another front line starter? Ian Kennedy would be a good acquisition in my opinion.
