They will still be good, but you are correct: they do not have the pitching like what they were accustomed to over the past decade. And you are also correct about Sam Houston. They may knock Barbe off as the top SWLA t program for a few years.

prolly after this year for a couple, but the 2031 class and beyond....barbe will be back to dominating again and the 2029 class going to barbe has some top players too. will be interesting
Chad runs a phenomenal program, especially off season, maybe the best in the state from that standpoint. But much of his talent is transferring in, in the younger classes. which is fine by me. i believe in school choice
Barbe is really really really good at getting the most out of what they have and getting better throughout the season they will also outwork pretty much everyone but they dont have the off season program and weight program that SH has and are very small compared to SH, WM, Catholic etc

Played Doyle last night. Walker won 5-3. Now 4-1 on the season. Only loss of the season came against Destrehan 9-8. Lots of offensive firepower just needs to find some consistent pitching.Will be a team to watch out for come playoff time.

i mean its a year to year thing. a lot of really good programs in the state now, more than ever. WM is damn good and so is SH and Live oak.

They’re definitely the cream of the crop for NS. That being said, WM has played in 4 straight finals and dominated Barbe for 6 1/3 2 years ago before a meltdown. Without that, WM would have won 3 in a row. Now…those 4 years had John Pearson-LSU, Federico-had 3 hits Sunday for Ole Miss, and Hawsey-starting 1b at LA Tech. Team looks completely different without those guys.
