Div IV Select highly competitive

Nobody filling out a lineup card and letting it play out in that bracket, esp in one game only

I was a bit surprised that CHNI sacrificed Game 1 for a supposed advantage in the remaining games, pitching wise

Yea I mean they threw the Hewitt kid who had closed a couple times for them and had looked really good but they had 11 walks hbp and 3 errors. Cant give up 15 free bags. I assume they will throw Fenske tonight and then hidalgo in game 3

but St Louis didnt throw their ace either which imo is Garcille atleast he has more potential.

We shall see, i would rather be sitting where St Louis is for sure. Same with Sulphur.

St Louis pitching is very good beat Benton, Barbe and South Beau this year. Didn't always play to their ability but very possible they make a run.

Parkview losing last night to Dunham was a suprise to me.

Sulphur continues on their impressive pitching run also with 5th straight upset win. Sulphur needs 3 more upsets to finally get a home game

Westlake got a 2nd straight one hitter from Hardesty, walks are a issue but also had 11ks. Can't really tell if Kaplan threw their #1 or not last night. Westlake still has Spears and Anderson for games 2 and 3 if needed.

South Beau vs Berwick should be a tough series.

Div IV Non Select is guaranteed to have a SWLA team in sulphur with the bottom half of bracket being DQ/Vinton and Welsh/Grand Lake

as of now...swla and the river parishes are looking very good but that could change quickly

i will say one thing i noticed...the teams like VC, ed white, st louis that have a ton of experience winning in the playoffs the last 5 years...they are finding ways to win now that its playoff time. None have impressive record.

holding true for alot the divisions...schools that were considered down this year but have traditionally been very very good are suddenly finding their groove.

Moreau had a lot of movement on his pitches last night for St Louis

trace is very consistent and usually does have lots of movement.

i was most surprised by the defense from Catholic NI. all the errors surprised me big time.

ND of Crowley is looking for a coach.

I’d be surprised if anyone here had or was willing to give any scoop on that, but how are these types of jobs usually filled?

I don’t know how these privates can compete for good coaches.
I’m assuming boosters put something together, but for baseball?

the really good privates like ND pay way more than publics do. but...no retirement.

now i dunno if ND will as they arent in best financial shape from what i was told, but could be hearsay too.

Well I like to hear that.

It’s crazy that Rayne is still in the playoffs while Crowley barely has a team. I know ND takes from Crowley, but now so do Iota and Midland.

If he did, that news hasn’t trickled to me yet

Won’t be a surprise though, with 3 schools leveraged

I assumed it would take an AD/Head Coach type of move, and haven’t heard anything on that end either

I guess JD could have once again handled that, or maybe CS, he’s definitely got a vested interest

In other more important matters, PBHS up 9-2 top 7, but UL commit Durbin left in tears after trainer evaluated his elbow

This team has been cursed recently
